He is a Rock has gone past the comedian sphere, he had a whole hit sitcom dedicated to his life(not no comedy sketch shows) he’s had more noticeable roles in cult classic movies. Chappelle might be a bigger comedian but Rock is a bigger star overall for me, but it close.

He's still put mega numbers in his career history compared to his contemporaries. I'm speaking strictly box office numbers and not respect as he is not a critical darling with critics compared to other actors.
