The thing is, even if you raise the minimum wage, companies are not required to hire employees.

Even under Republicans, they got the tax breaks, but didn’t replace the jobs. They kept outsourcing and automating. I think free community college with the conditions that you maintain passing grades, and work 3 years in the state post graduation is reasonable.


People need to stop thinking companies are going to pay employees out of the goodness of their hearts. That is not how the world functions. They aren’t cutting their salaries at the top to just “do the right thing.”

Well, they will soon pay with it by blood. They dare wouldn't do that in most European nations.

Increasing the minimum wage is ultimately gonna be paid for by consumers. Those happy meals are gonna be $15, coffee at Starbucks gonna be $10, milk, bread, all items prices about to be tripled. Not to mention all the small businesses that are gonna get fukked over.

fukk all that. You wanna get paid more, go learn a skill, trade, go back to school. $50 an hour to flip burgers? Chick is fukking nuts.

Raising the minimum wage will not raise the cost of living naturally. The real estate market purposefully prices out ppl who make a certain amount. They don’t need the money, they just need you to not be around.

Where are u suppose to live? They don’t care. It’s not a real service industry.

Ppl are just fueled by hate in a country built off slavery.

Labor is the biggest expense in a business besides land.

If ppl don’t work for you, there’s no business. And when I say work, I mean dedicating majority of their time to the success of the business.

If the ROI ain’t good for everyone involved, it’s not a good or sustainable business.

ppl talmbout minimum wage is for college kids. College aged ppl should be able to afford housing and even children.

That’s how it was in the 80s and 90s. Ppl could afford rent and children at the age of 19.


What has changed about a 19 yr old that they no longer deserve that for their labor?


Is it our expectations for them? Why do we expect these new 19 yrs to be less independent than those in the past?
