Are people asking for too much now? I'm sorry but a $15 minimum wage is still too low...

Breh I get what you're saying but what you fail to undestard is that for ANY change to happen in America, the wealthy will have to take a hit to their lifestyle. That means higher taxes. It also means not giving incentives to people flipping houses etc.
That won't happen.

:camby:

You have the same mindset that c00ns had back in the 50s saying "Civil Rights will never come, so stop fighting" mindset.

So just stop fighting it, huh?

Just give up, right?

If you defend these greedy b*stards, or even remain passive aggressive, you gonna get rolled over, too.
No one said to stop fighting, I'm just letting you know that America is the last place this will happen breh. For one, almost everyone's retirement is tied to the stock market. That means that it's in everyone's interest that these zombie companies do well, even though they don't bring any value.

Solution is to try & find a better paying job. If the better paying job requires some training or education. Go get that education or training.

Increasing minimum wage will just increase the cost of living.

But the minimum wage has remained stagnate for years and the cost of living is steadily rising anyway :ohhh:

nikkas making 60k a year will defend the rights of people making money they wouldn't see in 20 lifetimes just because they believe working in fast food is easy. But they never bring up any other industry in which people routinely get fukked with low pay like Auto Mechanics, or Paramedics.

Yep. I always tell people think about wealth in terms of water or food. Because that’s all money is. A medium to exchange what’s really valuable so we don’t have to fight for resources. Imagine one guy having $200 billion dollars worth of fresh water whereas you got $1,000 worth :patrice: It would immediately look unfair for one guy to have so much while billions of people had almost none. But because it’s paper money we don’t think about it in those terms.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Broke people always have the wildest imaginations. They have two arms and two feet. They could be using their time to chase a bag instead of arguing about minimum wage. As far as living goes it’s up to your local politicians to fix that.

Please in NyC they have low income apartments where tenants pay $0 per month. Make more of those so those burger flippers can have more resources to snatch those apartments.

In 10 years these same people will get asking for federal assistance to obtain a 4,000 sq ft home while working 15 hours a week at Starbucks.

Where is the smoke for the CEO that gets paid 500 times more than the employee, before annual bonuses??

99.9% of businesses in the US are small businesses

10 Small Business Statistics You Need to Know in 2020 [Updated].

There are 30.7 million small businesses in the U.S. which account for 99.9 percent of all U.S. businesses (SBA, 2019).

You're willing to pass a policy that'll fukk 99.9% of businesses in the US to get to that .01%.

The irony in enforcing a minimum wage policy nationally will only shrink the number of small businesses, empower the big businesses in the process, and speed up automation to get rid of human employees.

:snoop:. If the standard of living is raised. The populace has more money to spend. The cost of increasing wages is offset by the new influx of money.
