Are people asking for too much now? I'm sorry but a $15 minimum wage is still too low...

This generation doesn’t get it. They’ll just replace y’all with machines... McDonald’s, Burger King, Walmart. A higher minimum age isn’t the entire answer.

People need to focus on making themselves more valuable and acquiring an in demand skill.
This.
people don’t understand that a higher minimum wage is the silent killer.

For you dumbasses suggesting a minimum wage at 15 dollars an hour is still low. Whats the point of going to College and getting a job thats starts at 25 dollars an hour when you can just drop outta/barely graduate HS and get a minimum wage job for 20 dollars an hour?
Agreed.

They better go to school or trade school.

I don't support McDonald's workers earning 20 an hour. Thats ridiculous.

Higher minimum wage=more automation, more automation=less jobs, less jobs=higher competition for jobs, higher competition=lower pay.

What was the Og minimum wage and what would that amount be in 2020 with inflation?
If the minimum wage kept up w/ inflation and productivity, it would be near $25/ Hour today

This is What Minimum Wage Would Be If It Kept Pace with Productivity - Center for Economic and Policy Research
HuffPost is now a part of Verizon Media

When FDR instituted the minimum wage, it was supposed to be a living wage

"No business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country

By ‘business’ I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level — I mean the wages of decent living," - FDR

We keep on this path we're on and one day you guys will wake up and the only jobs deserving of a living wage are doctors, lawyers, CEOs, and entertainers.

Or some groundbreaking STEM engineer or an IT worker that can hack through American Defense System. :unimpressed:
