Are people asking for too much now? I'm sorry but a $15 minimum wage is still too low...

Beggars can't be choosers!

If people want a certain level of income, then they need to open up a brick and mortar spot or start an online business.

But with that comes risks. Where will they get their customers/clients from?

If states shut down, then people will lose jobs. If people lose jobs, then they will not spend money.

Point is..

Better get whatever money you can get while you can get it!

This isn't the time to hop on social media talking about what you feel you deserve to get paid. The people who are paying dictate what they will pay, not the other way around.

For those of us who make a livable wage, best to do what you need to do to keep it!

It's gonna get real ugly out there and it is gonna come real fast!

Be ready so you don't have to get ready!

She right though.
It's not enough.

Lets say you work 40 hours a week. $15 an hour is $600 a week.
And you have a $1400 1 bedroom apartment, with $300 bills.
that's $2400.
Then you got to pay rent
you have $1000 left
Then bills/utilities
you have $700 left.
That $700 isn't going to be all in one lump sum...that's gonna be spreadout over a month and it's gonna get hard to save that.

Higher minimum wage just means they will raise the price on everything else.

This! And I am all for folks minimum wage being raised. But these jokers think the prices of everything else gonna stay the same.

They must think that 1400 1BR price gonna stay the same when minimum wage is 15 bucks...:mjlol:.

Landlords and property managers just gonna increase the rent to 2k or 2200 cause they know folks got more money. :mjlol:

You're leaving out a thing called taxes. They're not taking home that much.

These type of jobs aren't for people with families or for someone to support a single lifestyle, they're for teenagers to buy books and clothes, people with roomates working part time until they finish school or land that dream job they're looking for. or older people looking for extra spending money in retirement to compliment their pension check/social security. its a job, not a career. if you want to have your own apartment or house with no roomates you need to aquire the skills needed to have a career. no skills are needed for minumum wage jobs.
