What advice do you have for a young breh in terms of saving?

Think beyond saving. Savings shouldn't be more than emergency money and maybe a separate savings for bigger ticket items. Anything above and beyond that should be invested in something that makes more money. Educate yourself on at least one investment type.

But do not have your entire stash sitting in an account that doesn't even meet inflation.

Well think of it this way. Rich people would own even more shyt if there were not property taxes. It keeps people on their toes.

Property taxes means you never own your house. You pretty much end up being a renter of the government. Even worse are HOAs and their associated fees, since they can auction off your house if you don't pay and you have to ask them permission for improvements on a property you 'own'.

on the flip side property taxes are why your richer neighbor doesn’t own every house on your street

As much as I hate them...I live in a nice area of SD county and I like it being that way...I have no problem paying a few extra thousand a yr for that piece of mind....also if u can't pay or don't pay then don't worry u won't have a house to pay for

Any person can "Own" anything. As long as you have to pay taxes to a government or crown you never truly own that.
