They're looking like the 2014 Heat right now, they slipped on defense (Not nearly as bad as this) and generally looked old throughout the year.

I think they're in some trouble, they got a bunch of older players playing major minutes.

And just like then, LeBron is being asked to do way too much. 14 year guys shouldn't lead the league in minutes. The one thing is that they have size that the heat didn't have and last I looked they were better rebounding than the heat were. I don't think that the finals would be quite as lopsided, but it's hard to see them pushing the warriors with how they've defended lately.

Toranto got significantly better with the Ibaka/PJ Tucker trade plus Lowry going to be fresh for the playoffs

Wall,Beal,Bogdanovic is a totally different team from previous years

Low-key the East coast is no longer a cakewalk

The east almost never has multiple contenders that are realistically championship caliber at the same time going all the way back to the 80's honestly. There was Miami and Boston and Chicago in 2011 (rose got hurt in 2012 so that year is left out), there was Boston and Detroit in 2008, Miami and Detroit in 2005 and 2006, there was Orlando and Chicago in 1996, Detroit and Chicago in 1990, and the first half of the 80's was Boston and Philadelphia, while the second half of the decade was Boston and Detroit. I say leave the seeding as it is in regard to each side of the bracket is one conference because it usually saves the better matchups for later.

I don't quite follow what you're saying at the end. The league would be better off if all teams had a relatively equal path to the Finals.

The regular season would mean more and the playoffs would be more compelling. I wouldn't be concerned with schedule balance either. More than half the league is getting in anyway.

I don't quite follow what you're saying at the end. The league would be better off if all teams had a relatively equal path to the Finals.

The regular season would mean more and the playoffs would be more compelling. I wouldn't be concerned with schedule balance either. More than half the league is getting in anyway.

I'm saying that the east being short on contenders to challenge its top team isn't really new. A decent amount of the time there's one team, but just as frequently the east is a foregone conclusion.

Rockets were nothing like this year. They looked ready to miss the playoffs for much of the year and barely snuck in w a .500 record

Blazers had no business in the 2nd round and you know it Coincidental freak injuries benefitted them and by extension the Warriors of course, because it always does.

Then they were down 3-1 to yes a very good OKC squad, until Draymond called KD, asked wtf he was doing, reminded him of the plan and well, we saw how the rest of that series went
