Im just here to complain about nothing
You've come to the right place

Im just here to complain about nothing

Hasn't average team assists increased? I'm assuming it has because post ups and 1 on 1 isolation plays don't result in assists.
Then there's the fact with more spacing and smaller PFs that more rebounds have become available for guards and wing players.
In combination there's more triple doubles.
And the biggest problem people have is with Westbrook, but I'm pretty sure the Thunder's record when he records a triple double is insanely good.
I thought the Cavs played a huge role in page slowing down too when they took a garbage roster to the playoffs by slowing the game to a crawl with the thought that with minimizing total possessions in a game it gives a less talented team a better chance of winning. In 94-95 they dropped to an 84.8 and managed to make the playoffs which lead to more teams following suit in the years that followed.Yeah the pace today is 97.3 and was 96.4 last year, in the 90s you didn't start seeing the game slow down until they moved the three point line closer. The pace was 91.1 in 2012 as well.

The late 90s and early 00s are when the game grinded to a halt, outside of that the game has always been fast pace.

Yeah, but clotheslines and powerbombs were up too, so it all balances out.Yeah the pace today is 97.3 and was 96.4 last year, in the 90s you didn't start seeing the game slow down until they moved the three point line closer. The pace was 91.1 in 2012 as well.

'WRong.
The rule changes got you thinking players are better .
Triple doubles went from AMAZING if you did it 6 times in a season.
now guys doing it 20+ times like it's nothing. you think the players got better? lies

See in 2004 when threes were at 5? that's when the Pistons were dominating and ratings were at their low. Why you think Nash came out of no where and won 2 MVPs? Why you think 3 players suddenly scored 30 ppg (Kobe, AI and Bron) that year ? Rule changes fukked all that up.
nowadays with threes, you cant put a slow, rim protector only guy anymore. Because he will get killed in the pick and roll. Now you got smaller guys having to guard with crazy defensive rotations. Better chance for a Russ or anybody who really wants a rebound because they dont gotta compete with a 7'1" guy for it anymore.
The smaller big men, spread offenses that lead into insane # of 3PAs lead to longer rebounds for perimeter players.
league is a joke nowadays. lol @ this guy Jokic having the fastest triple double ever
It’s not that the defense is non-existent.that and the absolute terrible/non existent defense
