I will say Drake gives old heads the same angst that Wayne did in his prime
@hexagram23 is the proof
@hexagram23 is the proof
and it's clear that Drake's discog > Em's, Wayne's and Ye's.
"Started From The Bottom", "0 to 100", "10 Bands" and "Know Yourself" are gonna last a lot longer among hip hop heads than any 4 bangers from the others. Bangers are the hard-hitting cuts that define a rapper long term and excite a hip hop crowd.
I know Kanye has fallen the fukk off lately, but let's not pretend that man's catalog isn't destroying Drake.
And he has way more than 4 cuts that will make the biggest stadium crowd go apeshyt.
aka pop crowd.
My argument is for hip hop fans, breh.

Drake's albums are way more pop than Kanye's. You don't want to accuse a rapper of being poppy when comparing them to Drake the most pop rapper since Vanilla Ice.
Kanye worst albums still have way more creativity than Drake's best.
You're saying Drake is more hip-hop than Kanye?
Regardless, y'all need to stick to topic. Kanye doesn't have 4 bangers that'll light up a HIP HOP audience like the 4 Drake ones I mentioned
yep. Drake has actual street cuts. Where are Kanye's?![]()

Every now and then. Used to post quite a bit in the tunnel but its pretty dead these days.I never see you in the booth![]()
I don't equate hip hop solely with "street cuts"
And I also don't recall Kanye or Drake making any street cuts.
As far as hip hop at its essence, I don't think Drake has any songs fukkin with Drive Slow, So Appalled, Can't Tell Me Nothing, We Major, Spaceships, etc...
Are you seriously telling me that Drive Slow and So Appalled will get a hip hop audience more riled up today than 0 to 100 or Started From The Bottom or 10 Bands? I just don't believe you.
Maybe it'll take a while for y'all to see just how good those songs are.
Those Drake songs would get a bigger reaction at a show full of people from like 15 - 25.
But a Kanye show would attract a much more diverse crowd then a Drake show would, and those songs I named would blow the roof off the building.
diverse crowd is code for "hipster", "non Black", "suburban" and "casual fan".
I'm not saying cats my age and above are scrambling to check for new Drizzy. But by and large, we have an opinion on his music and enjoy select joints.
No I used diverse to mean hip hop fans from all eras.
80's, 90's, 00's, backpack, conscious, thug, gangsta, Southern, West Coast, East Coast, Midwest.
Kanye's music (used to) appeals to hip hop fans across the board.
You spend to much time arguing on the Internet breh
