yeah yeah, ya'll love to claim ppl who dont want to be claimed.

i bet they both have cac girlfriends and i read they were raised by their cac mother. tell me again how they're black?
Do you know them personally though? I am not trying to claim anybody or argue with you. They might not identify black at all for all I know but I just think it's fukked up how so many ppl on here automatically claim biracial people cannot be black as if there's JUST some sort of predetermined genetic component to being black in America.

LOL well i would say having 2 black parents for one would make one black. its amazing how people think a black person can have a white parent...remember, white ppl came up with those rules, not black ppl.
anyway, it is what it is. i def dont feel like arguing over their genetics, jus how i see it.

Race in America has NEVER been that black and white, pardon the entendre. Biracial ppl are and continue to be an important part of our legacy in this country. It's extremely myopic to discount someone because they don't have two black parents. It's even funnier when if you REALLY wanted to look at it from a genetic standpoint the average AA at some point down the line has some mixing occurring. Race is not purely genetic. But I'm done. We all have our outlook.

having admixture does not equal biracial. so if its not purely genetic and they were raised by a white woman...how again are they black? :lupe:

I was under the impression you were saying that only 100% black parents could have black children.

Do you consider J. Cole black? He was raised by a white mother. Has overwhelmingly black experiences though. Was treated as any black person would be in Carolina and NYC. I'm just trying to understand where the line is drawn. What about a dude like Drake who grew up around white people but was exposed to black culture through his father?

Malcolm X? Bob Marley? Just throwing out famous recognizable names. You honestly don't even need to reply but I wonder if you've thought about those situations.

no. i dont consider j cole or drake black.

malcom x didnt have a white mother, she was mixed, so i do consider him black, the same way i consider obamas kids black. i hear what you're saying though.

Key and Peele are ok. Their style of comedy is a little less subtle than I like. It would have fit right in around the In Living Color era but in 2014-2016 we've kinda moved past that. They've got some good sketches but imo their work is more miss than hit.
