so wait staff signing 360 deals now?
Fire that lazy fukkin manager , if they wanted tips , they need to wait tables too.
Customer need to get on the news too and embarrass the fukker.
Dumbest part is manager could have helped and they split that shyt 3 ways

Ain't no rule that says managers can't help serve

The customer gave that money without understanding the dynamics of tipping and how the service industry exploits the workers having a unspoken contract regarding wages and tips.

Only reason theyre makin her split the moneys is that itd cause resentment and a loss of morale among the backline staff and ppl would quit/demand higher wages/a cut of tipping and that fukks up the whole model of exploitation which wouldnt even be an issue if they paid livable wages in the 1st place

Since the issue seems to be compensating the cooks for large orders, how about all tips on tables above 10 get split with cooks. Make it across the board so it's shared whether it's a 100 bucks or 4000.

Point being if it's not an issue on Tuesday, don't make it an issue on Wednesday just because the money increased.

I only ever had this happen during a special occasions. like if we are working on Christmas day or like in this situation where a very large party shows up.

From my experience Its mostly veteran waiters/bartenders who look out and show appreciation if they have a really good shift..

but yeah for the most part kitchen staff who put in the work get taken care of in some form or fashion by management if it’s a well run spot..

:mjlol: u think someone should serve 40 fukking people then share
fukk that :mjlol:

I never waited tables but I have been a dishwasher at 2 different places.

And straight up that's a ton of silverware and plates! I'm sure that waitress was entitled enough to put all sorts of pressure on the dishwasher to have shyt ready (they always do:unimpressed:)

That would be some big time bullshyt for her to walk out the door with $2200 while the dishwashers would stay after for an extra 2 hours and only Thier $80 pay for the day.

Commies don't wanna spread the money around now? Break bread with your coworkers.

Maybe they tipped because the made those people feel some type of way which is why they wanted to give it to them specifcally, the coworkers weren't waiting on the table, fukk outta here with that, people tip the people they want that's how it works

because the people in the kitchen had to prepare 40 meals all at once. i worked in a restaurant when i was a kid and i always thought it was fukked up that i had to slave away in the kitchen only for a waitress to get tipped over how good a job i did with their food. only on rare occasions did savvy people come to the kitchen to tip us personally. it was especially fukked up when they would seat a customer 5 minutes before closing then bounce after getting the check, while the rest of us had to stay behind and clean up all the dishes and shyt.

They were suppose to share the tips with other waitress not the cooks lmao

why should the other servers get a tip they didn't work for lmao

they cooks prepare more than 40 meals a day anyway lmao, and don't get tipped, that's why they make more money

folks exposing themselves. waiters/waitresses basically work for tips, their hourly wage is cheeks. The kitchen staff gets paid full wages, how bout they share some of their regular wages with the wait staff?

if i get a tip that big, i aint tellin nobody a damn thing if i dont have to
