Really dig that screeching sound, which I'm guessing is a sample of a violin or whatever on "Stonefruit." Digging the psych rock influence on that one

Y’all will call trap wack and listen to incoherent ramblings and say it’s dope because Alc laced it .

shyt is buns
:yeshrug:Cats been hyping up Billy and Elucid for years breh. They got a massive fan base. I’m sure Alc will introduce them to a new fan base, but lots of Armand Hammer heads have been out here forever.

There’s also some Armand Hammer heads that don’t even like the production on this.

I don't get Earl, man. The verse isn't bad but like...you can only go left so many times before you fall off the boat. "Underground" production as it stands today - from Navy Blue to DJ Muggs to Alch to Griselda to Roc Mari shyt - is all on Earl's wave. Moody shyt, dark shyt, etc. Yet instead of rapping over that shyt and taking the easy W, he's out here rapping over Albanian wedding music and sounding like he's ODing on zannies. Breh is passing up major bags. An Alch/Earl album, with him rapping on that I Don't Like shyt, I Don't Go Outside tip? Classic alert.
Yep.

I definitely miss more conventional Earl. He’s still craxy talented, but I don’t love the xanax bar flow he’s been doing recently. I wish he’d go back to the old energy.

People say this and I've yet to hear or see the basis of it. He objectively spits terrible verses. He seems to have created a lane for himself by being a fan of dope artists and casting some of his odd future fame their way. Does he even do xanax? He seems like a big lipped, suburban poser doofus who grew out of Eminem and found KA and is OD'ing on standom.

verse on Quelle x Chris Keys = Trash

verse on Mach's Hard Lemonade = Trash

Feet of Clay = Trash

The Alc Craft Single = Trash

Some Rap Songs = Trash

I Don't Like shyt... = Trash

'East' may be the only song funnier than 'Jarreau of Rap' from last year though.

I mean you're clearly not gonna like anything I post from him and that's cool. But I think he's been consistent and I've never seen him a poser. He was always a huge DOOM fan and did the monotone flow thing combined non-sequitur bars. I think Xanax or being really stoned is a better explanation than him having "big lips" :mjtf:. What does big lips have to do with anything?

I don't know if he does Xanax or not. I'm guessing he doesn't, but he's dealt with a lot of hardships in recent years, so who knows. The point is that he slurs his words a lot more now than he used to. @Zero might have better examples than me. He always sounded monotone but he didn't always slush his speech together.

There's no denying his style has changed in recent years. That's the main thing we're saying. Just because you don't like him doesn't mean he's not talented.

Big lips was just an observation of his tragic appearance. His dreads are embarrassing as well. The kid flat out sucks. Ruins everything he touches.

Quick first impression without getting into any specifics. This is my first listen to Armand Hammer, and this is so different from the type of rappers Alchemist is famous for producing. No matter what, this doesn’t sound like any of Al’s 2020 projects. It’s definitely refreshing, and I’m glad that he’s got an album like this in his catalogue. Sounds like he stepped out of his comfort zone a little bit, but without getting too weird.

I can’t imagine anyone that likes Armand Hammer not liking this. It’s my intro to then, so I’m just not used to their style yet.

Edit: @Tetris v2.0 there’s only 4 out of 15 beats on here without drums. And one has a heavy baseline and some compressed kick drums. You’ll be happy with it.

I listened to this just to hear ALC get experimental and I don't think he disappointed. I don't think they're trash just not my type of emcee. But I grew up with people like them so I know there is a lane for it.
