Blockhead producer comp? Brother this is a terrible argument. Backwoodz is an underground, artist-run label, not everything they release is necessarily going to make waves on this site or elsewhere.

Maybe they're not successful enough to move the needle for you, and that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that Billy/Backwoodz had been solidified in the game as a self-sustaining outfit with a small but dedicated fanbase, for literally a decade or more, before they ever worked with Alc

I said, I personally don't dig them. It has nothing to do with their success or lack thereof. I don't like the way they rhyme. I also, think they are getting love on this site for the ALC connection. You basically confirmed it for me by saying not all their releases make waves. I'm glad they are self-sustaining outfit for their sake.

The Alc connect definitely got them more looks on this site, that's for sure true. But they weren't "nobodies" before that by any stretch of the imagination.
In any case the music is definitely not something I'd expect everybody to love, so it's all peace

woods and Elucid have great albums both group and solo, both with and without Alc. This is just yet another one.

Woods especially has been an underground darling for yeeeears with placements at major outlets before any Alc co-sign.

And this is a 9.5/10 album. Top 5 for the year easily.

I didn’t like Haram but after awhile I gave it another chance and ended up liking quite a bit of the album.

With that said I’m not really feeling this new one at the moment. It sounds like Haram leftovers to me and not in a good way. Lol

I’ll give this album another chance later down the line and see what’s up then

Sucks to be you I guess. For me, this is the best production they had yet, and Alch's best set of beats of the year. They fit like a glove for these dudes. These wouldn't fit for Freddie Gibbs or 2Chainz. Woods and ELUCID crushed it on the raps as well.
