C'mon now fam, the beats are average to mediocre. They are your typical cookie-cutter Primo beats. Just some chops with some scratches thrown on as the hook but mad underwhelming. No melody or head nodding. But, the thing is, they pale in comparison to his older shyt. This is why I didn't like "Define my Name" when it came out.

For a guy like Primo who has stuff under his belt like "Nas is Like" "2nd Childhood. "I Gave You Power" and Memory Lane not to mention his Gang Starr classic stuff like Code of the Streets, Royalty, Dwyck, and You Know my Steez all of these projects he's done lately pale in comparison.

Hit-Boy's shyt with Nas was so much better than these last 2 Primo projects he put out with Marci and Ransom.

said it before, and i'll say it again: magic 1 is the bar for preemo. anything below that level of production and he should not a get a pass.

Good album. A different feel than his Craven projects obviously, but I don’t whine about drumless beats, his style is made for those.

To you If it weren’t for Craven and his chemistry with Ransom, you and others wouldn’t have started listening to him like people have. Ransom always been dope, but if it weren’t for him switching up his flow and linking with Craven, you wouldn’t be in this thread right now. His output from 2020 and on is what has him where he is right now.

I think the Roc Marc album is much better. Ransom is solid but theres better rappers Preem could be working with. That being said, this is not a great batch of beats either. Nothing really bad on here, its just all kind of generic with the strings and rhythms Preem is using.

I know Premier makes beats for each artist, so I assume the Nas album will sound different (and better). This is already a much different sound to the Roc Marc album.
