The Haram album didn't really hit for me but I'll check this out eventually

Also, how is this out before Badu and Mos Def? :heh:
Because the train doin't stop. lol. Those will be out whenever they're out, but this one here is at least a year in the making. There's been snippets and session footage leaked out there for a long ass time on this one.

you're posting in bad faith bro. You posted this exact same thing 4 years ago when the Haram album came out. You had like a lot of posts in the thread for the last Armand Hammer x ALC project: thecoli.com/threads/armand-hammer-the-alchemist-haram-discussion-thread.833790/

"who are these guys?
the fukk is this bullshyt?
are ya'll trolling?
this shyt is big trash
this is mad wack"

You know the deal by now. You know what Armand Hammer sounds like. To act like you never heard this is being disingenuous. You didn't like it 4 years ago, so why would you like it now? People are in here talking shop minding their own business, and you coming in and pretending to not know what's up with this music is borderline trolling.
Calm down fam …… I know who they are …. It’s music so I’m free to check this out …. Again the fukk is this nonsense?

that's fair.

I didn't like them either for a long ass time and still gotta be in the right mood to listen. It's just super abstract and almost like spoken word type shyt.

Is your biggest problem with it that it sounds like they're rapping off beat?

Enjoy man, I obviously disagree. Armand Hammer would be absolute nobodies if not for the ALC cosign.
I’d have to strongly disagree with that second point, Armand Hammer, as well as billy woods and ELUCID individually have received broad critical support over the last decade or so, and have a consistent fan base. It isn’t the largest fanbase in underground hip-hop by any stretch of the imagination, but The Alchemist is certainly not that involved in their success - aside from great production on a few projects.

Billy Woods spearheaded Blockhead's recen Hip Hop MC compilation The Aux. It had Casual, Breeze Bruin, Navy Blue, Bruiser Wolf, Aesop Rock and Armand Hammer was all over it, all over dope Blockhead production. It was a quality album. Search the title on here and see the threads. Nobody cared.

Blockhead producer comp? Brother this is a terrible argument. Backwoodz is an underground, artist-run label, not everything they release is necessarily going to make waves on this site or elsewhere.

Maybe they're not successful enough to move the needle for you, and that's fine, but it doesn't change the fact that Billy/Backwoodz had been solidified in the game as a self-sustaining outfit with a small but dedicated fanbase, for literally a decade or more, before they ever worked with Alc
