I'm deathly afraid of heights, I get dizzy on ladders. In fact when I got to to towers I didn't even know I was afraid of heights. the Sgt Airborne (the instructor) asked me what my problem was I told him I was afraid I was gonna fall. He said That means you're afraid of heights . That being said Like Air assault and Fast Rope you have to just assume that you're not gonna die.

Why'd you get out? I planned to do four and get out but they kept deploying us and waving bonuses at us. Before I got hurt I was scheduled to go to Fort Lewis and I was pissed. I wanted to stay in the Duece because it was close to home, but now I wish I had went to Italy at least.

I can't believe that Ranger grad quit, I guess he wasn't in the army very long.

You should've went Airborne and called everyone a leg and accepted your smoking.

We did have a mess cook attached to us (a Black lady) who was air assault not Airborne and dared anyone to say anything to her.

I was gonna do my 4 and get out. My dumbass re-enlisted in Afghanistan. I ended up re-enlisting again. Ended up at Lewis and got medically retired. The LT got the treatment any of us enlisted would have gotten. His company and battalion commander’s (if he was enlisted it would have been his team, squad leaders plus his platoon sergeant) smoked him every day until the next class rolled around and everyone down to the lowest private treated him as if he was no better than snail shyt. The classes start every week to overlap.

I remember when 3rd ACR and Cav was with the shyts all through Killeen.

Be at the wrong barbershop or gym lacking :unimpressed:

I actually had to pull a guard duty for a murderer once. For whatever reason, he couldn't be moved to another facility immediately so he was kept to an isolated barracks room for a day or two. He was cool as shyt :manny:. Dude had just transferred to our battalion. Went to a cookout with the other company and ran into someone he'd known back in Iraq.

Said some real casual words to the guy, told him to step outside, blasted him, then dropped his dog off with a friend, then turned himself in :wow:. Guess it just had to happen on sight.

Facts. I know of at least 4 people fukked up or killed by sleeping under or behind a vehicle. Each time I was :francis: because of the dumbass safety briefings to follow. They made us all wear kevlars through the motor pool for a year once because some dumbass thought it was cool to skip between vehicles that were being ground guided backwards. Got his head pinned between two and had his skull cracked open. He lived and his one brain cell somehow survived as well.
I remember one time I was pulling security (not guard duty) outside the wire and I had an arguement with a cat and I contemplated shooting him right there.

The funny thing is I don't even remember what it was about but I was thinking about how I could justify it. Dude pulled his sidearm for I god knows why (maybe he was gonna shoot me) an E-7 saw his Negligent Discharge and it was covered up.

Another e-7 discharged is pistol and they made him do PT. Now he should've gotten a charge at least and they covered that up.

We could start a hot thread about all the illegal shyt I got covered up. I've seen CO's carry weapons in POV's I carried weapons in my POV myself. That's a jailable offense

I heard stuff like this went on. Like I said in jail, most were laid back and I had conversations with them, at least one or two shared with me that there were dealers who were active duty. And I met regular street cats who used Army dudes for straw purchases and/or sold narcotics to active duty cats who were double dipping, but I never had that experience with any...

I heard FPD make a joke once though, when I got arrested and was in booking at the city jail, a couple of them were clowning how these Army dudes were always getting in trouble. Lot of domestic shyt with them, fights and shootings at clubs, drunk drivers (knew one who flipped his car like four times and caved the shyt in and still survived), Army dudes getting caught soliciting prostitutes, and there is always probably a handful of times a year, the Army person who kills their spouse or gets bagged on associating with civilians and they catch a body or robbery...

Dudes told me Fort Bragg/Fayetteville and Fort Hood/Killeen were traps for unstable enlistments who hadn't matured yet, because the cities are wild and the bases have a large population, so you get a disproportionate number of wannabes and/or guys who can't leave their past behind and start mingling with local criminals. Heard this a few different times...

Within the ranks did Hood and Bragg have that reputation with yall, or did other places as well?
Look at fukking Fayetteville it was a no horse town without Fort Bragg (I don't want to shyt on your city) I came from New York to Fay do you know how pissed I was? I used to sneak back home every weekend (you had to get a special pass to go more than a couple hours off base), You'd go to that one story (first time I saw a one story mall) at Cross creek and almost all the bytches at the mall where military or dependents, I hated that.

Funny story Fay was such a sausage factory that even the hoes were dudes. My first line supervisor (won't call him an NCO) got hemmed up with those obvious trehs on Mike Street. Homie allegelledly got into a fight with them and lost his wallet. the Treh's were in the army too so they somehow got his ID back to to 1SG.

I only was at Benning, Stewart Bragg Walter Reed. I think it has to do with how "high Speed" or how elite the units are. They encourage you to be aggressive and people start to believe their bullshyt. Plus it was the "crunk" era and we were at war, so nikkas gased themselves up.

carolina live and that Palace were off limits so that's where we went all the time.

Just imagine if you were in the Army when Knuck if you buck was out. nikkas would go crazy when that shyt came on and they played that shyt to death.

I didn't know how fukked up and jaded I was until I got to a good unit.

I'd turned into that bitter, weathered E5 before I'd even realized it :wow:

They were nikkas like yourself. I mean you have to be brainwashed into attacking the enemy some dude that you don't know to defend a country that doesn't give a fukk about you, so of course you're gonna scrap a bit.

I don't believe in the thought process of "I'm fighting for your freedoms, etc." You didn't get drafted. You volunteered. There are a lot of quagmires we've stuck our nodes in for a variety of reasons that I believe we should have left alone. You're maintaining our place on the world order and that's fine, but I'm not going to bend over backwards because you wear a uniform when in reality, you joined for a Dodge Challenger. Much of the money spent in Afghanistan could have been used on our decaying infrastructure here.

EDIT: I have a respect for what they do. I'm not a fukk the troops person. I just can't deify the uniform.

Lol yeah it ain't a whole lot going on there, it can sour on you quick because of that. But alota military personnel love it there...

My parents retired there, I haven't lived there in years but I float around every so often to see my brother and parents. Not the biggest fan but I've learned to accept it and enjoy it for what it is, instead of hating it for what it ain't. Its grown a soft spot on me...

Damn I guess you had to pass if they just kept sending you.

I was volentold during summer school season. They needed bodies I was "hooah" so they sent my stupid ass. If you failed you'd be smoked, probably not sent to anything remotely "hooah" for awhile and you could lie and say you didn't want it. My E-7 failed that and SFAS he was still my PltSGT.

The only thing that was considered gayer was pathfinder school which Air Force special ops tend to handle. They were trying to con me into that and luckily the schools NCO talked me out of it.

Yeah if you loved the miltary It ain't so bad. They just need about a million or so more Black women down there.

I used to drive back on I-95 and would see 82nd billboards a hundred miles out. It used to legit turn my stomach. I generally liked the Army but I still have to remind myself about how much Fayetteville sucked. Benning wasn't so bad because the A was right down the road.
