As hundreds of Black communities nationwide have been gentrified since 1980, more than 500,000 Black people have been pushed from their homes.

FBA better understand that these Asian and Hispanic immigrants and the tethers that support them have a negative impact on poor ADOS/FBA people. In housing and employment.

As hundreds of Black communities across the country have been gentrified since 1980, more than 500,000 Black people have been pushed from their homes. Those same neighborhoods have seen more than 3 million new Latino, Asian, and white residents, with cities like Atlanta, Washington, New York, and San Francisco witnessing entire neighborhoods transform within a single generation.

Be upset at the white hipsters gentrifying y'all out of your homes. Not immigrants. But I wouldn't expect much from FBA Tariqistas who are secretly infatuated with Republican white men

I grew up in yellowsprings, where dave chappelle lives.
Its kind of a hippy liberal community. Made it a save haven for black families during the jim crow era because hippies while lacking hygiene don't usually be on any Klan type shyt (at least as a group, you can always find a racist white individual in any group,).

Up through the 70s the town was around 40% black. Even had a black mayor at one point.

Now its maybe 8% black because tourists are so fascinated by they hippy culture, that has driven the value of homes up tremendously.
(Dave Chappelle Moving to Town on some NIMBY shyt didn't help either)
Even the tiniest house is worth a mil. Half the properties are owned by retirees and being sold off to young wealthier white families when the finally die.

Problem with this is the community is only valued because of the culture if you displace all the black people and all the hippies, it will eventually just turn into another suburban red neck boondock town. Which will probably cause a houses to eventually plummet in value

Own your property and you wouldn’t have these problems

My street here in Inglewood have 90% of black ownership of they homes

It was simple as fixing up your property, reinvest back in your hood and working with police and neighbors looking out for each other

Black people stay complaining over 40 years about the so called black community, but doesn’t reinvest in the homes they live in , work together to keep the drugs /criminals out and let the shyt tear down and always talking about white people but immediately runs to the white neighborhoods instead of fighting for their own

Now nikkas want to cry about foreigners but could have been had the neighborhoods on lock

I called out some of the black elders in my community. Because they actually owned a lot of property. Half my town actually at one point.
I always dreamed of growing up and buying it from them.
Unfortunately over the years they sold off all the property to cacs.
Owning property doesn't mean anything if you sell it to white people when you want to cash out.

Eh. The fact of the matter is a lot of African American Gen X and boomers in NJ who have equity in their houses are willingly selling off their houses to supplement their retirement and moving to the sticks. Most Black people have their wages capped because of the lack of education in our community. This is a far more nuanced conversation than foreigners are buying up the houses. We're selling them but today Black people don't have enough money to buy these same houses at these current inflated prices.

Coli democrats don’t care about black Americans unless it’s related to some shyt trump is doing

Everything else is met with the “I got mine” mentality

Peep my last few threads as evidence. They do not care about FBA/ADOS getting shut out of the labor market and they don't care about poor ADOS people being impacted by gentrification.

Most of the people that responded with bootstrap babble these last few threads have been tethers.

America is survival of the fittest
The moment an area becomes desirable, whether by chance or by design, the current residents need to do whatever they can to stay there because capitalism owes no favors. This applies to white people as well. Entire traditionally white neighborhoods in my city got took over by white transplants

500,000 despite multiple millions of immigrants since the 1980s is really small potatoes.

The truth is black wages have not kept up with inflation and rent increases across the country. The average black worker is a high school graduate. Only about 17% of black working age adults have a 4 year degree.

Again, black people need to go to college and finish college. Black men especially.
Really?! Only 17%?!

Not to mention, theres too many single family homes in LA anyways. They do need to up zone and build denser housing to both drive down costs, create more options, and provide more opportunities for people to live closer to their destinations.

Addressing ADOS/FBA employment is different than addressing whatever you’re calling ‘gentrification”

No one has a right to live there because its “a black area"

Either you keep what you have, or you lose it. No one is taking it from people in 2025. You’re selling it or you lose it.

These arguments hold less weight over time. Own your shyt. Improve it. Maintain it.

Let’s be honest, sometimes grandma’s house needs to be replaced by dozens of apartments and condos.

More housing is always better than less housing.

Gentrification isn’t just “upgrading” neighborhoods.

Again this is bullshyt. Theres TOO MUCH community engagement. in many of these projects. It’s why stuff barely gets built. We need MORE housing built FASTER. We dont need to hamper projects with all these agenda laden restraints that always fall short anyways.

If theres enough housing, you dont have to complain about a lack of options

Look at this goofy nikka regurgitating the abundance doctrine. The abundance book has been out for a couple of months and this nikka is already an ardent supporter of it, simply because the democratic establishment is. :dead:
