:ehh: Do you have a check engine light right now?

This could be as simple as a tune up but in all probability you could have fuel pressure issues ...the fuel pump could be weak,the fuel pressure regulator could be bad,fuel filter or injectors clogged.

If your fuel pressure is low the fuel isnt atomizing properly so the cars computer compensates by opening the injectors for longer and wasting more gas .

Get a fuel pressure check and service

You can try this injector cleaner

first..Use that 3M one ..if it improves then you know for sure it was your injectors

that injection cleaner you pour in the gas tank is a waste of money to me, it's best to get the service that forces all of the crap out via the exhaust system in the form of white smoke, instant results imo

@the mechanic
I have a 2001 Honda civic w/ an idle problem. 6+ months ago I changed the headgasket, had the head milled/cleaned/checked, changed the timing belt, water pump & radiator myself & when I started it started revving up and down, so I said fukk it, parked it in the garage and started driving my other car. I blew a back tire 2 days ago so while I'm waiting on the tires to come in I tried to fix the idle problem on the civic.

I took off the IACV and cleaned it w/ carburetor cleaner & put it back on & it still does it. So I went online looking to order a new one & saw that its suppose to come w/ a gasket. When I took mine off I don't remember seeing a gasket, it might have fell off when I took the iacv out. You think not having the gasket could be the problem?

Its a good chance. Have you checked your intake for blockages or any vacuum leaks? The IAC controls your idle, and if your intake isnt getting enough air, your car will struggle. Also you might want to check the PCV valve and EGR vacuum line

Good looks on the reply. Couple days ago i took the iacv back off, cleaned it again. But this time i took the throttle body off and cleaned too, reset the ecu and it stopped. :blessed:

The ball joint on my car broke causing my axle to fall out. How much should I expect to pay a mechanic to replace the ball joint and fix the axle?

2006 mustang gt

I replaced 3 coils and 3 spark plugs...I need to replace all 8 spark plugs

My car turns off when it begins to slow down near stop light

I'm guessing once all spark plugs are changed it should fix the issue no?

I have a stripped stud so when I try to take the lug nut off it just spins and spins. I need to do my brakes, how can I break the stud so I can take off my wheel and do my breaks. I'll get the stud replaced later, my brakes are priority one right now.
