A tale of two cities. Once you cross Austin Blvd it becomes night and day. You cross into upper middle class suburbia with tree lined streets, million dollar mansions, and it's quiet as a mouse. And that Austin bullshyt don't cross that street.

The prime example of a person who gets shot in Chicago is a black Chicagoan.
I've lived in Flatbush, St. Louis, Atlanta. I know my way around rough neighborhoods and know what to look out for. I think you think I'm making this a demographic issue when I'm not. I'm not here to discuss the history of violence in Chicago with Polish and Italians. I am talking about the 80% of homicides that happen where the victim is black. The rest are made up of hispanics and whites barely even come into the picture. In plain terms you have a 4/5 more chance of getting merked in Chicago than any other race. These are facts. Let's leave the sentiments aside.
It's sad that hardworking men and women are seen as collateral damage simply because the violence is happening only in "certain areas".

I'm a transplant to Chicago, and although it's gotten worse in the last 2-3 years, it's really only about 5 maybe 6 neighborhoods you shouldn't venture too; Austin is one of them.
