The people who voted for him are the ones that get the blame. You had him before and said I want that again. There’s tons of people on both sides who don’t even care for the media. People would rather listen to podcasters who they agree with rather than watching a newscaster who presents all sides of a story.

I've ranted about this FOR YEARS now.

Back in 2015 they kept the mic in his face, putting out soundbytes because he was so obnoxious and loud, and literally helped him suck up all the oxygen in the room.

Because he was good for ratings.

Any viable media would've cut off coverage because he was so obviously unfit and carny but because he got clicks/eyes watching, they kept feeding the beast.

Capitalism literally ruins everything it touches.

Say what you will about China but, I kinda like some aspects of their political system. It's authoritarian, which is why I said some aspects but, it's more meritocratic compared to ours which is often a popularity contest. You can't even be an option for President over there without serving 25-30 years in lower offices, managing counties/provinces/cities/etc. While they give up some of the freedoms we have, a "Trump" would never be President because he would've never made it past the lower levels of office. They pick Presidents like how Cardinals pick a Pope, from a list of vetted options (I don't agree with that part. Voters should pick in a national election). I think we should have a similar rule over here in the States. Maybe not 30 years but, you should have had at least ten years in a political office before trying to become President

They repeat their racist conspiracies word-for-word in their headlines and articles, like it's all just another side in a debate. All they're doing is laundering racism into the mainstream.
