No Limit was still hot throughout 1998. They didn't start to dwindle until early '99 about the time Bossalinie dropped. After Bossaline, the Tank started struggling.

Lol they didn’t fade until 2001 when Romeo became the face of the label. They still had flashes into 2004

Outside of "Wobble, Wobble", none of these were exactly hot and as dope as "Whodi" was, it slid under the radar. I said they dwindled, and in '99, it was a huge drop off from '98. P was no longer going platinum. It became safe for artists to openly diss and people were moving on to CMR.

The fact that Romeo was the face of the label by 2001 says a lot about how far the Tank had slipped.

You’re crazy...

I would argue Choppa Style >>> Wobble Wobble (I still hear choppa style) and that came out in 03

I put a * by Romeo shyt.. because it was for kids.

No Limit wasn’t past tense until 2004. They stared releasing NL greatest hits in 05... it was a wrap by then

It was a wrap for No Limit when Snoop was the only soldier making noise even with Last Meal not sounding anything like a NL album outside of the song featuring Magic and P (and that was a rework of Skull Duggrey's "Where You From"). All of the mainstays at No Limit were on other labels or locked up at that point besides the Millers. Yeah they had a few residual hits, but nowhere near '97 or '98.

2004 looked like the Tank was making a come back. P had some decent cuts on Good Side/Bad Side and Ghetto Bill. Master P's album that dropped late 2001 was an abomination.

lol nah.

You can’t use defenitive statements like it was a wrap when they’re still going gold and platinum..

I gave a legit break down my g

That list shows you the noise still being made..

DMX was "hotter" than Jay-Z in 1998-1999

But at no point did any knowledgeable hip hop heads consider DMX to be a better emcee than Jay-Z

eh in some ways he is.

it's hard to say who's "better" because they're both so good at what they do differently.

Snoop was the only NL artist to go platinum after Silkk's Made Man. P was the only artist to even get a plaque outside of Snoop after Bossalinie and the Foolish soundtrack. Romeo was the last NL album to even go gold and before that it was P's Ghetto Postage.

Down 4 My N's made its rounds on Snoop's album an entire year before C-Murder re-released it as his single.

No Limit didn’t fizzle out until 2004. I gave you the list, you can’t move goals to fit your perspective..

Those songs range from 99-03

And most of those songs were nothing huge. Down 4 My N's is possibly the biggest song on that list and possibly the last real No Limit song to drop. "Wobble" was big as was "He Did That". Silkk's album (and he was one of the biggest artists on No Limit) got pusged back and reworked and still failed to hit.

Again No Limit dwindled in 1999. Thats not even arguable. You can't go from releasing like 30 albums in one year with at least 10 going gold or platinum to releasing 20-30 albums a year later and get 2 platinum albums and three gold a year later and say they didn't dwindle or fizzle out.

By 04 it was over.. those songs made crazy noise. You can downplay them, only chose to reply to me and mention on of the 10 with a reason for why it wasn’t that big in your mind

But the bottom line is they were still dropping jawns..

I could see if I said “Ohh wee” or “Tight Whips”

^^^ these are No Limit songs in name only.

Again, them Romeo songs only show how low the Tank had fallen. This is when a lot of NL die hard were jumping ship. That Krazy album and especially The Streets Made Me album was like the last breath before No Limit completely went under.

"Choppa Style" was cool, but again nothing huge. That song is "Ooh Wee" and "Tight Whips" level.
