At what Age did you Realize you're NEVER going to be Well-Off or even Upper Middle Class, you're just AVERAGE at Best?

6 Figure is a dream to most and the ceiling for the rest of us. :francis:

Even at 6 figures, for most that's a nice crib, car and clothes. Dine out and travel a little bit. But it's far from having enough money to invest or flip it into something that's life changing. 401k plans, a good job might let you be able to relax a little bit at 65.

But for some reason we think Wealth is in our future. :mjlol:

I think once we all realizing we all average to can come together, maybe married, pull together and maybe build towards living better.
I’m scraping into 6 figures.

I’m not rich. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment even. But I don’t worry about paying my bills. I barely even budget. I own 1.5 properties that I rent out. I have low 5 figure savings and could ride a few rainy days. I travel abroad 3 times this year.

Being ‘upper middle class’ earner is comfortable and only glamorous maybe 25 days out the year. I’ll take it and keep building. If I’m smart I could make it out the corporate game within 20 years.

Within normal parameters I have whatever material thing I want. I live off less than half of what I make in a year.

The only real sacrifices I made was not having kids and living in a lower middle class area.

Having kids before you can easily afford them is killer.

i bought a condo during the bottom of covid, for a 15 year mortgage. now with this fukkin real estate/interest rates, if i was to buy anything else, it wouldnt be paid off til im in my 60s. meanwhile this condo will be paid off when im 45. and without kids, living modestly, i think i can just about retire at that point

im totally good with that :ehh:

Numbers wise, I'm middle class right now. But I want to be rich. M's in the bank. And I've never in my life felt as strongly as I do now that not only is it possible, but I'm getting close to it.

Whats the cutoff for middle class compared to upper middle class?

I've been homeless with $20 to my name before, so to me being able spend $$ on groceries or a gift or vacation without worrying about your bank account to me is middle class but maybe not to others
