I would never kick my baby girl out the house, as she can stay in my house as long as she needs or wants.

I’m not kicking my kids out I would prefer them to stay with me till they are financially stable, save some money and have good credit I feel like too many black parents kick their kids out of the house too soon that’s how we end up in debt

Well, you can’t make someone homeless, so unless the child is able to care for self before sending them out to the world, it may be best to allow them to stay at home, but they should earn their keep and contribute towards the household which will teach them responsibility & help them be able spot sustain themselves when they are ready to live on their own.

if you haven’t done all of that by the time they are 18 or 21 you have every right to toss them out of your household especially if they have younger siblings.

I have a standing rule I will try if you are over 18 and not in college or some trade/tech school you are out of here...If you are too old to follow the rules of the house you are out of here.

I didn’t even make it to 18 with my parents and I don’t blame them.

It depends on the environment. I do believe that if parents rear their kids well then the kids will not have to be kicked out of the house but will move out on their own volition.

I left "home" for boarding school during high school and was never really back (of course I'd spend holidays at home).

Told my kids they can’t leave until they are done with college, working in their careers, and have enough for the downpayment on a house.

Don’t want them going into the world in debt and fukking up their credit.
