Fell off after Ether
I need Jay to record a Pt. 2 to this

It's like watching an old Joe Louis box in the 50sWhy do you think I went full troll mode today(and will going forward).....it's much more entertaining than trying to reason with these people.
Mind you many of the people in this thread refer to Justin Timberlake as TimberGOAT...
To answer this thread, Jay-Z never fell off to me. He switched up his style and then he became entirely unmotivated. Falling off is someone like 50 Cent who is failing at what he is trying to do. Jay is doing exactly what he wants to do. He knows his stature in hip hop is solidified and he doesn't put effort into most of his verses....not like he used to. MCHG basically featured him dialing back lyrics to be more direct...yet he'll give you flashes of the older Jay. That's his problem now...filler...filler...filler....flash of greatness....filler. He can still be entertaining, and is mostly, but he's never going to rap like the Black Album or American Gangster again. Quite frankly, he doesn't want to. He'll give you a Maybach Music, Light Up, Prelude, etc., when he chooses to but for the most part now he relies on his flow and delivery.
For me, seeing how he, Nas and Pac are my three favorite rappers, I still just enjoy hearing them spit. Nothing they do at this point will change their legacy.

Thisid say 96-03 was prime hov
that kingdom come was the begging of his downfall, although american gangster was sort of a resurgence he couldnt keep it up, he really is a far cry from where he was and its kind of sad really.
Every new nas song reminds me that there should be no excuses.

He would occasionally KO one of those youngins too though![]()
. The exception was Kendrick and that took a second Kendrick verse of him trying hard to dumb out. It says a lot about 2013 rap that this guy is keeping pace half-assing it
at people using his verses from songs like "Suit & Tie" and "Murder" as examples of him falling off. Jay has never really "bodied" an R&B collaboration. He more so floats by on those. There are a few standouts, but look at those R. Kelly collabo albums and his other numerous R&B and Pop collabos and he has some sub-par verses on those as well. Right now, Mya's "Best of Me" and R. Kelly's "Fiesta" are the only R&B collabos I can think of with memorable/standout Jay verses.he went into kind of slump during the '99-'01 period (Vol. 3 and The Dynasty).

The Dynasty is top 5 Hov easy.
I bet you the type to go to jay z show with ya girlsHe didn't.. he dropps some wack shyt every now and then but always comes back with heat. Literally its every other album
BP HEAT
BP2 TRASH
BLACK ALBUM HEAT

Just to jam n dance ya ass off with yo eyes closed to every song fakkitIt's only a couple to meHe's spittin', but there's some wack songs on it that bring it down.
. The Dynasty is dope, near classic to me. But i'm admittedly more forgiving of the guy when he makes that plastic rap.
