Gucci gets alot of love all over. These lil nikkas say he’s they influence and all of that. His sales and success NEVER reflected that.
Gucci is an artist that real hiphop heads that are mostly consumed by 90s east coast rap bias dorks and white hiphop fansdon’t listen too

His niche fan base is southern black men

That recipe doesn’t get you to superstar level

It’s not even just Atlanta. Gucci get more love from young rappers and most hoods in the us. 90% of the rappers here in the D, Gucci they favorite rapper

If you talking Detroit...Jeezy get way more love in the city...but i feel you i personally feel when people say Gucci is one of their top rappers they speaking on the old gucci

Also cause these ignorant rappers love ignorant shyt. Not those punchlines about dudes and quantities they knew nothing about, feds they never seen etc. The hustlers and money getting dudes probably hold
Jeezy to another regard, not just in Atlanta but Memphis, Mississippi and on.

Same reason hipsters big up Gucci but never mention Jeezy even though Jeezy moved a lot more records and in 2019 still do. And if we look at “street” rap music, there’s really not been a lot of hustler rappers coming up after Jeezy, more bums and users who saw their first bag from rap music.

Basically Jeezy is somewhat serious and “old head” and rap about serious shyt, few rappers that came up in the 10-s do. Just look at his 2011 features, Jadakiss, Neyo, 3 stacks, Trick daddy, Snoop, Devin the dude and on.
The ones that were inspired by Jeezy basically didn’t blow up.

Gucco didn't have high sales because he was the mixtape king and was the most burned artist alongside Boosie. If streaming was avaialable he'd be doing bigger numbers than Youngboy and them are doing now digitally.

Gucci more relatable and realer than jeezy
Unless you street or know the streets you wouldn’t understand.

Gucci was talking about hundred dollar slabs getting robbed, being robbed, alley cats and strippers. Going broke getting rich etc..

Jeezy was always on some I’m a serious king pin .. bla bla bla

At the end of the day Gucci is more talented.

Jeezy, while influential, never really put anyone on. He went pretty corporate at Def Jam fast, and CTE was kind of a bust overall
