You been to a braves game lately? They been that for a long time now. Only nikkas in that stadium are yelling "Ice cold beer here".
It would be different if the Braves owned the stadium. I think Ted still has his name on the papers breh. It is pretty wack though.
at least they can use 285 as a parking lot for games since traffic is perpetually backed up.

Atlanta politicians (current ones) are dumbasses to the 9th degree. cobb county does not deserve to reap that revenue first of all, second, we just gonna diss the olympic stadium like it aint even twenty years old- why can't the falcons play there since the braves are moving? the government is funding two non-needed billion dollar stadiums, instead of improving the transportation infrastructure. dumbasses, and eventually they will realize their error but too late. its like the bears and cubs saying fukk chicago, were moving to joliet
I don't know if this was an Atlanta issue or Cobb County just being hella aggressive. If you remember the Falcons negotiations for their new stadium, when the South site was being debated, Cobb County jumped in & offered a site off Delk Rd for the Falcons. That didn't happen, but that should've been indication that Cobb County was serious about getting a team there

This is Cobb County funding it, not the City of Atlanta.
For the Falcons, it's being funded via the hotel/motel tax of Atlanta, PSL's, the Falcons, the NFL & Arthur Blank. None of these stadiums will bankrupt the city b/c the city isn't paying for either
Except in this case they are moving the team to where the fans are, not away from them.
Like I said, the problem is the infrastructure.
i feel you. these fukks don't realize that in 20 years cobb county will be the ghetto, and gwinnett will the new, chic place to move the team too. kasim reed is a joke and a disgrace to the long line of powerful atlanta politicians.
The Braves aren't dumb. You can run a line horizontally across metro Atlanta and color the top half white and the bottom half black. Moving the team closer to the fans makes sense.

I don't know if I'm even going to be living here in 3 years but that's a big come up. That placed will be packed 24/7. Demographics and location fit perfectly.
Opens up downtown a little as the Falcons and Braves will be in two seperate areas now. I've always wondered why the Hawks and braves didn't move out to the suburbs as well.
