ok you boost your oline. you still need a good RB provided sjax bounces or retires. need a decent TE because loss of tony is HUGE. then you need actual defense. mike nolan is a good dcoord, but he cannot function without pass rush. and yall have none. abraham was having fun with ryan today btw.

this is a team that has tons of holes imo. the only things you got set for next few years is ryan and julio.

its easier said than done. besides, with FAs, you will be investing even more long-term money.

and thats the thing, if you get paid so much, you better be able to nearly win games by yourself. hence why this type of money only elite qbs like peyton, rodgers, brees, brady should get. these are the guys who can make it happen on offense without weapons. it wont be easy and they probably wont win in playoffs, but they can take over games

matt ryan is a really good qb who still needs weapons and oline for offense to put up numbers. he isnt in that godly HoF-bound tier and most likely will never be. but if he needs weapons and oline...he isnt worth that money.

Brady and Peyton have always had great offensive lines. How do you know how they would perform with an awful line? Rodgers is the only one who can do it alone and even he won't get playoff wins without help.

Ive seen ben and eli do it too with subpar or shytty lines.

but my point stands, rodgers/brady/peyton/brees are only qbs I would give that type of contract.

We don't need a Gonzo if we have someone who can block so Ryan can get to the 3rd option without people on his ass. Harry Douglass is pretty good as a 3rd receiver but he doesn't get passes thrown his way because with Gonzo he is the 4th option and with the Falcons line the 4th option = sack.

This is a completely different team if Ryan can make all the reads. Right now he scans the field once and then throws to whoever the 3rd option is, either Gonzo or the RB. He gets destroyed when he doesn't check down immediately.

Peyton hasn't always had great Olines but he's so damn good people hardly noticed. And A-Rod has had some shytty ass lines too and beasted out.

Your point is that Peyton and Brady can still play at a high level behind an awful line, but it's not based on any evidence whatsoever. So exactly what are you basing this point on? Hell Brady took a pay cut specifically to pay his linemen.

Ryan is one of the least sacked QBs in the league. Many people see those stats and think its because the line is decent. Nope, it's because he gets rid of the ball quick as fukk. Like I said he has been hit so much he checks down as soon as he sees Julio and Roddy are covered.

That's something only someone who watches falcons games would know.
