No. They cannot redefine "what it is" they define what to charge you with.

Yes they can cole. How tall is the 16 year old? How much does he weigh? How tall is the step dad, how much does he weigh? You can live on the internet all you want but in the real world there are some 5'5 130lb 40 year old men and there are some 6'0 180lb 16 year olds.

Yes, they teach you to mag dump. But I wouldnt do that to my own son/stepson/brother/uncle unless they were packing too. The relatives & neighbors said he was a good kid. No reason for this.

He broke the door and broke my lock?!?...ass whooping x10...hes a hormonal teenager w/ testosterone, he can be put in place.

Although...why would the mom and other kids be in the other room? Let me think on this a sec... edit:i have nothing...I cant justify an unarmed kid getting shot multiple times

I've said it before. Being a responsible gun owner means knowing when to not shoot.

If dude kicked the door with intent to do harm that's the full legal definition of a home invasion. Do you have the right to defend yourself in your home? Even against family? Regardless of age? Is 16 enough to know better or should he have gotten a pass? Is a 16 year old family member given a pass but a 16 year old kid from 7 blocks away fair game? What if his name is on the lease but the mothers is not? How many times is acceptable to shoot an intruder? And most importantly how sick was the child? Because every educated coking member knows you cannot quarantine healthy people, that only sick people are quarantined and healthy people are sequestered.

Right. All kids test us. I’m at the stage now, where I’ll go into another room, put the child in another room or go sit on the step outside or read to go through a cool down period before I immediately react. I’ll even call my mom to calm me down lol. Because at the end of the day, kids need guidance, we are parents- that’s literally our job to correct and teach. Bottom lime- this stepfather didn’t give two shytz about that kid. He didn’t care. Which any reasonable person would think - what else was going on in that household for the stepfather to be so cold and careless toward his wife’s son. Why was the 16 yt old so insistent on leaving out in the first place. Multiple shots fired within close range is not self defense.

I’m thinking that the mom was in the other room to keep the smaller child distracted or out of sight of the argument. But how she didn’t notice dude getting a gun, loading it is beyond me. Which means that this type of conflict was a regular occurrence since she didn’t intervene. All I know is my dad would take my brothers out the house to talk or for a ride somewhere if they had an exchange or volatile situation so the rest of the house wouldn’t be exposed to it and to help calm things down until he could decide how to handle it.

I call my moms and my aunt and tell them how horrible he is just to vent and not give lil man that anger. I always have a cool down period....that's when he know it's real
