You don’t know what took place before all this. Stepfather could have just been a jerk and the kid needed space but didn’t know how to express himself. Or the mother could have been spazzing. You have adults that can’t even keep their shyt together during all this. I don’t blame kids for the actions of their parents. The solution was not locking him out either and making him food for this pandemic to the point where he felt a need to kick the door in. Bytch ass stepfather grabbing a gun to discipline a spoiled kid - if it came to that then the stepfather should have taken a drive and cooled off. He was looking for a reason to take that kid out.
These arent times for children to be disobedient.

When the boy come back with covid and body someone in the house, is, "he just needed to blow off some steam" gonna fly? He cant even money his own parents. Think he's gonna self quarantine?

Probably ran out to go see some lil bytch. Kids need to do what their told under a state of emergency bordering on martial law and in in general.

Kids not thinking about anyone else's life but his own when he leaves the house to go into the world and return to home cooked meals and the necessities of life like nothing happened. As if it isn't a privelege. Like a damn alleycat. Things are different now. It's unfortunate a disobedient child ruined the whole family by forcing the hand of a grown man.

none of the things you listed are contagious.

do you believe the number of deaths would be the same, lower or greater if they had not implemented any lockdown?

Seems ignorance is more contagious as i never said anything about it.

It will be greater as time continues under lockdown..

He should have gone to his pops house to chill out before doing this dumb shyt, but 16 is too young to face drastic consequences like that.
Too many people with rage issues in that house.

summer might make family disputes worse, especially if the heat is bad...people indoors and uncomfortable :wow:

breh....chicago in the summer is already fukking unbearable...it’s going to be insane with these restrictions...central air conditioning is considered a luxury, I don’t know how people will manage. I’m guessing by that time the govt is hoping that enough ppl have been infected that the quarantining style rules aren’t required to be as strict

As if the 40 yr old stepfather was justified to get a gun and shoot him for kicking a door instead of fighting the fair one or leaving the house himself to break from the situation as the adult in the room
:comeon:

Never ever said anyone was justified in their actions..

Both the father (especially him) and the son could've done things much differently..

But do you believe that the son came straight home and kicked the door down, or was their cellphone dialog before the forced entry took place?

There definitely was a better solution to this..

And the boy didn't need to be shot..

Pops should've beat his a$$..

But what im saying is, you cant rely on other people to look out for your best interests, when you kicking down doors.
The fact that the father was charged with felony murder shows that this was retaliation and not a situation where he was defending the home or in fear for his life. He wasn’t charged with negligent homicide, 2nd degree or assault with a deadly weapon.. just straight up first degree murder. That’s what some of you fail to address. The step was feeling some type of way about the kid (kid likely fronted on him, stepfather’s ego got in the way and he lost control to the point where the gun was his first resort).

you listed statistical deaths that aren't contagious to downplay the safety precautions taken to prevent more deaths from a highly contagious virus.

if 37,000 people die at home from accidents over a period of 12 months, how many people do you estimate will die in 12 months from covid-19 when it's already killed over 40,000 people in 2 months during a national lockdown?

ok assuming the number of at home deaths will be much greater than the previous year. do you believe those number of deaths will exceed the number of people who would possibility die from contracting the coronavirus?
