Exactly. I don't think a lot of Black people really understand a man's role in a household. So many have been raised by single mothers where she argues and makes compromises with the kids. Where there's a power struggle between her and the children. A man can't be in a house like that.

A recall when i was like 10 this drunk dude knocking my grandparents Christmas tree over and my grandfather wanting to kill him. My dad and uncles had to stop him. If any man was to come to my house and violate in any way, especially in front of my girl or whoever, it must be dealt with ASAP.

RIP to the kid, as it’s sad that he had to die, but you can’t just go kicking down doors and punching grown men in the face. You can’t.

Step dad shouldn’t have killed him, but I do know this; my grandfather locks his door every night at 10:00pm. He locks it, and doesn’t unlock it at all. Strict curfew. I used to stay over there sometimes during college, and my grandma & aunts would warn me that if you can’t make it by 10, then don’t come.

Seems both parents agreed that the kid should stay inside and not live the home for the safety of the family. Kid was defiant. Seems both parents decided kicking him out was the right discipline and best for the safety of the household.

Sorry but the kid wasn't a angel. Angels don't kick in doors and punch adults in the face. Not saying he deserved to die, but he deserved a lesson he'd never forget. We're pretending 16 is young, but many 16 year olds are tried as adult. We have to wise up quickly.

Shid me and my step dad came to blows a few times. I definitely thought about offing his ass at one point too if we being real. But he also had these problems with his ma and the people she dated while he was growing. Hell one of my best boys across the street used to get into this type of shyt with his pops too. This type of shyt has been happening. You just get to that point in high school where you aint tolerating no more whoppings or whatever and you get to this.
