The throats? Speak on it, brehcheck the throats breh

It’s an interesting conversation…as a native Atlantan I see it kinda the opposite way though. I think for people from Atlanta who don’t have skills or the ability to navigate how the city is changing, they’re missing out on the prosperity, wealth building and access that has plagued black people in Atlanta for generations. I know alotta natives who have to work menial jobs, can’t afford to live in the city and either don’t have a plan for how to change it or are oblivious to what’s happening around them. They either were failed by the public school system, didn’t go to college or never got serious about how to better themselves
And shyt at this point if you don’t have a clue on how to fix it, you’ll be living in Douglasville or Lawrenceville or Marietta or Clayton County with minimal skills and very few opportunities to get out of the class you find yourself in. Income disparity in Atlanta is the worst in the nation and children born into a particular class have less opportunity to get out of that class than anywhere in the US. It’s sad but I can’t feel sorry for people who haven’t chosen to invest in themselves b/c the money is here (tech, music, real estate, healthcare, Fortune 500 corporate money, etc). Folks who move here and are from here just gotta move smarter

Yeah...they don't even know where to start, which is sad. I'm in some of the tech and entrepreneur circles, and it's crazy how much activity to happening here – especially among black people. Common people are getting locked out though.
We have black talent, those big firms are not looking for them. They are looking for people who already have the experience and their work culture in mind. These people come over, prices go up, and we get pushed out.
And the kid who get out of these ATL colleges, where they go? Somewhere that will hire them and pay them more money. More likely up north or out west.
When people say ATL is full, we packed. Traffic heavy and nikkas travelling a long distance to get from work to home since they can't get work near they house cause folks getting pushed out.
at it being about traffic cmon man, nikkaz don’t wanna compete for jobs so they’re scared of people moving hereShe got ran through something serious. She came back to Pittsburgh with her tail between her legs. Totally washedCome to Atlanta and end up like @General Mills aunt![]()

Nah they are looking for black talent. You on Atlanta Black Tech slack channel or Technologists of Color? Recruiters beggin folks to apply rn
Kids coming out of Tech, GSU, Morehouse, Emory, Spelman, CAU, KSU have local tech intern options, much more so than even 5-10 years ago. They don’t have to move away to get a good paying entry level tech job anymore
And that Atlanta is full bullshyt is some stagnant crab in the barrel mentality.at it being about traffic cmon man, nikkaz don’t wanna compete for jobs so they’re scared of people moving here
Nah I really say it so traffic can be a little easier for me. Selfish but

Yeah, I was on there when I looking for work. They were recruiting for people to work in other states. There is more entry work not in ATL but in the surrounding area than within the perimeter. People are leaving for more pay.
.Put me on with your cuz. I got 10 years corporate banking experienceMy fam in Atlanta owns a quarter of the stores in Hartsfield, own an investment bank, a law firm, was over Fort McPherson and handled the transition to Tyler Perry Studios, on the boards of Morehouse, Tuskegee, Capitol City Club, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and a shyt load of other institutions, and I’m still not moving down there. My cuz begging me to come work for his investment bank right now because he’s getting old and I’m like.
