I don’t even see that many blacks in these kinds of spots/places in DC. DC is segregated as hell. I don’t see any black homeowners like that in the most desirable neighborhoods in the the area like Georgetown, DuPont Kolorama, SE Water Waterfront, Crystal city etc.

It’s like there is self segregation going on with black folks in DC that doesn’t happen in Atlanta.

Last time I went to DC, couple months ago, I called it Vanilla City :dead:. outside of U street at night, DC done got white as hell to the point in some areas i can feel the :mjpls:
But DC != PG county. I think breh is specifically talking about PG county which is still very much black.

Bruh there’s way more wealthier Black folks in PG and DMV than ATL. Don’t confuse entertainment money with private business money. Same goes for Black folks in LA, Chi and NY/NJ, they don’t flash their monies for all to see.

You maybe right. Gov’t employees and contractors tend not to be flashy so they don’t fukk up the golden goose.

Even white people with mad money drive modest cars.

The energy is def not the same. When I go out to eat at really nice restaurants in DC proper, I don’t see many black people in the spots. ATL is different. nikkas be out and about everywhere.

No it’s not. Been living in this area for 12+ years now.

Rich Atlanta nikkas are all over the city. From the most inclusive high rises to the most exclusive gated communities. From the best restaurants, to the most exclusive Night spots.

ATL segregated as hell too breh, like most cities in this country c’mon now :mjlol: You got mostly Black areas in ATL’s Westside and Southside, mostly Cac areas in ATL’s Northside/Buckhead, and more of a mix in both ATL’s Eastside and Midtown/Downtown ATL. That ain’t too different from how DC’s set up racially slim :russ: Both city and metro, but what’s wrong with Black folks living in our own pockets in significant numbers?

And you must not be familiar with either the Gold Coast of NW DC (Crestwood/16th Street Heights/Shepherd Park) and the Silver Coast of SE DC (Hillcrest/Fort DuPont/Fairfax Village/Penn Branch/Fort Davis)….The latter is literally the best part of the Soufside and it’s damn near nothing but Black folks in them mansions and unique SFHs, especially around Branch Ave.

Hillcrest Has Long Been A Haven For D.C.'s Black Middle Class. Will It Stay That Way?

You say you been up here 12+ years but I’m legit surprised you don’t know none of this:pachaha:

And while a larger number of wealthy Black folks live out Mo County, Charles County, Northern VA, and the non-hood parts of PG County, they all hit up DC for a good time just as well :yeshrug:

And FYI, none of those so-called desirable neighborhoods with the exception of Georgetown you named even have much of a history of Black folks living in them….And Crystal City is damn near a financial district out in Virginia with some apartments here and there Lmaooooo

what nightclubs? If buckhead secedes the first thing gone are going to be the nightclubs. Last call will be 12am. These clubs don’t have the money to fight the cities. Similar to how chamblee got rid of all its strip clubs. (RIP Follies). That’s the whole point of this move they don’t want nightlife in buckhead. They want to get rid of water boys, have parents chaperone ppl under 16 to the mall and a precinct right next to the mall
:wow:

Wealthy black neighborhoods are a myth anyway especially post segregation. The system isn't created for us to participate in capitalism.

Damn, we need to get a black gold coast thread started.

This is Chicago’s.

Elijah Muhammad, Farrakhan, Muhammad Ali, Valerie Jarrett, Barack Obama, Allison Davis, Ida B. Well’s family, all lived in this neighborhood.
