I was too in the moment in like 94-95 to think so far down the road to think about things like all time greats to be honest with you.

but damn, Joey is definitely doing something right because he's making a lot of these new school garbage ass rappers uncomfortable and insecure...people hearing that 90's vibe and getting nervous as fukk...and it's not even clear that he's the nicest one out of his crew :krs:

word..him and him crew have been a highlight in this current rap climate for me

meh, i kinda see what @-Quikness- is saying actually.

there weren't many mainstream releases that were legitimately bad, unless it was some sort of flukey artist or an artist that was already :flabbynsick:. if i as an adult or at least in high school during that time, i probably would've been more reckless with the albums i bought and probably would've copped a lot of random chit just off g.p.

ive seen it done plenty of times on the reg.

This is what I'm saying,MOST albums on the chart or from popular artists of that moment were good albums and as a matter of fact still sit in my collection till this day unlike some newer albums :yeshrug:

Not sure about that considering so many albums sound so different from each other. I really think the creativity is gone from mainstream acts, but I feel people who are unsigned are doing incredible music. This is how hip-hop started, so its fitting this is where it end up.

No one is signing a rapper these days with complex lyrics who will only sell 150k units.
