Wherever whores go.....
I'm not talkin smack. People can do what they want. So be it. If you think you can afford whatever you got, so be it. But there's a lot of people who think that and get into trouble. I've been there in my 20s, made mistakes and did things most others did. Had to learn on my own you don't have to live like that, like millions of others. Now I'm in a much better place, and wish I had done these things earlier. I'm personally against borrowing on basically everything except a mortgage, and even then the guidelines that would apply to me are at least 20% down, 15 year fixed, and payments no more than 1/4 of your monthly take home. And even then try to pay that off asap. There's people way better off than me no doubt, but I like that I don't owe anyone else my hard earned money. I'm still learning things every day.

After bills and taxes, depends on how much I work (I work a lot typically), so right now I'm able to save about 2500-3500 a month.

So you are saving almost 40K a year:skip:
Then more power to you :ehh:

Some of us can save a good amount and still have nice cars :umad:

Sure no doubt. To those that are disciplined and responsible, more power to you. But People can also get into trouble. Most Americans having less than 1000 is a problem.

Some don't care about having nice cars though. I'm good with three.

My goal is to have my next house built. Prolly around 375-425k. Wanna do it no mortgage. We'll see.

I've talked to plenty of people who've had rough upbringings, poor, yet the drive inside made them a success. It can be done, whether your parents take care of you or not. These people understand the value of their work and dedication, the real value of the dollars they earn. In no way do they want their money going into someone else's pockets in forms of interest from loans. You want something, you save for it and buy it. Like our parents and grandparents did.

Winning isn't easy, or else it wouldn't be called winning.

Listen to this man. He is speaking the truth. :usure:

I'm pretty sure I got raped at my first car buying experience last year. My gf was sick of catching the bus and I got a offer in the mail from Capitol One for $35,000 on a car at this Kia dealership. I wanted something used to pay off quickly so $10,000 was my max. I went online and seen a $8,000 2008 Chevy Cruze. Compact and decent on gas so I went for it. I went to the dealership and this salesmen saw I was a mark from the start.

I told him which car I wanted exactly and he was like nah you don't want that, look at this. Took me to the Kia Forte's. They looked decent but were way out of my price range, starting at $18,000 and running to $23,000. I was like eh how about the Kia Rio's which were a class lower but costed like $14,000 but he was like nah you don't want that.... Which he was right, I was being super cheap and the car was too small for family road trips.

I got cold feet and started to dip but this dude wouldn't let up on me and I fail for it like a dumbass. He said look we going to get you a car today and I kept thinking about my girlfriend and how happy it'd make her so I stuck around.

This dude kept asking me how much did I have for a down payment. I had a grand total of $0 fukking dollars but lied and said $600. He told me the payment and it was outrageous like $500 something dollars. I told him I can't do it. Then he did some more math and said how about this, this is a great deal. I said nope, can't do it, still out my range. I changed my story up and saying I won't have $600 until 2 weeks from now. He did some more math and it got under $500 and was like, do you atleast have $300 to put down today. This is what I can do for you.

My gf was like do it, do it! So I said alright. This motherfukker totally disregarded my Captiol One offer of $35,000 and put 30 fukking different bank inquries on my credit report. I have fukked up credit so nobody would take me. Dude looked mad disappointed but was like we still going get you a car. He was like look, it's your lucky day how about $0 down, sign and drive with Kia Financing and your car payment will be $430 a month. I said sure!

To my surprise, they accepted me with my fukked up credit. I didn't have car insurance and he said I needed it to get a car, I have a body who will give a good deal. I said how much, he said insurance payments will be about $260 a month. I was like WTF, fukk that, can I just get my own. He looked super dejected and mumbled sure.

I went on with ________ and commited insurance fraud lying about myself. Put that I owned my house, mortagage payment $420, make $80,000 a year, have a PHD and business owner. My auto insurance came out to $53 a month.

After filling out some paper work, my monthly car payment came out to $415.23 and the payment wasn't due for a month from then. I had no clue what the term was (it's 72, just looked it up 2 days ago) and still have no clue what my APR is. The grand total came out to $21,700.

In a way, because of my fukked up credit, I felt like I made out. I never imagined myself ever buying a brand new car off the lot.... I caught the bus for 28 fukking years to that point. I knew I would get a car eventually, but I always imagined it to be a piece of shyt fukked up beater that constantly broke down like the numerous cars my father owned. It was a nice experience tho, I did enjoy how they try to make you feel special when you buy a brand new car. They make a huge announcement on the speaker phone congratulating you, throw confetti, and give you a big ass stuffed animal to take home.

I do get mad at myself how I got hustled tho. I could of had a pre-owned mid to full sized car loaded with options for nearly half the price....

At least you learned from it. Hopefully it'll drive you to not get hustled again. If you like and want to keep your car, pay it off asap. I like that feeling better than a bunch of salespeople who don't care about you throwing some confetti like you won something. If anything they congratulating themselves.

Keep grinding man.

It's something that should be taught and passed down through generations. Imagine your grandparents hearing some stuff like you can't work without a car. They probably slap the shyt out of you.

My car payment is only 10% of my monthly gross income.... This forum is grossly obsessed with what other people do with they money, who they stick they dikk in, and who's dikk they sucking.

You on point. I'm sure you'll own it in no time. Your last payment:blessed:

I just think keeping it simple works. I've learned from my errors and watching others. I earn money, i want it to be mine. Making lenders richer is not a good look to me anymore. I save, budget, live on less than I make. You can go get financial advice but also this is something passed down through generations. It's simple.
