i still get a receipt when i self check out, so unless i'm actually stealing, I don't see how this would be a concern.
Them: You Stole that x-box,
Me: here is the proof of purchase, case closed.
One thing i've gotten in the habit is getting the emailed receipts so all i have to do search the date of the day in question on my phone whenever i need it.
How would that help you?
It clearly says that they’re framing innocent customers claiming that they stole something that they did not.
How would a receipt that doesn’t have that item listed prove your innocence?
Uhh. I always get a paper receipt and have it in my hand while exiting the store.
That’s taught in Things That You Must Do While Black 101 class.
You would, but how many people under 70 are holding on to receipts from weeks ago for routine purchases or items they have no intention of possibly returning?? It would be different if you were gonna be accused the day of, but apparently these are people getting accused weeks and months later.
Target builds up cases for monthsLink me to an actual case of someone being accused of shoplifting groceries months later by a market and not some viral bs storyonce you leave the premises after self checkout it’s end of discussion. The store would get laughed out of court for saying someone didn’t scan an Xbox game months after the fact
None of those cases would hold up in court and if challenged by someone who’s actually innocent would end up like the vid posted where they have to pay millions for that nonsenseTarget builds up cases for months
You see how it’s placing more burden on the customer. You going to keep track of all your receipts and remember to even get one each time?
