Thats why most of the interviewers nowadays do this weird awkward steez, to get a person somewhat comfortable to answer the legit questions. The gawd would easily pry some answers out of AZ without any sort of effort, just a dusty record from 1988 that AZ always wanted:

Man I fukkin love this cracca.

I don't think I've seen anyone interview hip hop artist better than him.

If I ever made it. It would be an honor for this nikka to find some old balled up piece of paper, that I wrote my first rhymes on.

He be like

"Does this wrinkled up, dirty ass paper mean anything to you"

Haven't watched but interviews very much follow the clickbaiit/outrage/viral thing that social media posts do. They aren't really honest attempts to tell a story or self express or provide anything than outrage/gossip/mindlessness. And then cut that into 2 min intervals and just to get clicks.

Have to watch this I guess lol

lol @ at that hustling quote

AZ: "Awww shyt dunn, no you didn't. My old wave cap!" :unimpressed:

"YES NOT JUST ANY WAVE CAP, THIS WAS THE WAVE CAP THAT YOU USED TO GET THE FRESH WAVE FOR THE MOVIE BELLY" :krs:

For all we know, AZ is a crazy introvert, but you couldn't tell with how he spits and etc.

I would disagree with that. His rhymes portray a ngga out the way on some G shyt…he’s 1 rapper who’s exactly as he appears to be.

Even his role in Belly seems to be exactly who he is like he might have wrote that scene :russ:

Man I was skipping through the interview and got to a part where Mecca asked how come you weren't on more albums people wanted you on. You could tell AZ was annoyed by the question but he played along and asked which albums. And Mecca said OB4CL lmao. Up to that point, no non-Wu member had been on their albums. Nas was the first to do it on that album. So why would anyone in 1995 expect AZ to be on there, or be disappointed that he wasn't? It makes no sense, dude just talking to talk. I hate how he constantly just disrespects guests with these weird statements or questions. Also asked if AZ was a recluse. Is this how you treat a legend?

I couldn’t get through the interview. I had to stop watching these dudes. You can tell they don’t come prepared and just be freestyling and feeling the “vibes” of the guest with all the random and uncomfortable shyt they ask.

The show really is awful at least to me. I try to rock with it for certain guests but Math and the dude with the dreads make it completely unbearable to listen to.

I like how these guys who technically never made it in rap, are tellin az how he should move.. while seeming to not know much about his career other than the early era. If i was az id be annoyed myself. Too many of these guys expose themselves interviewing these legends.

For ONCE id like to hear some in depth talk about those “classics”. Im tired of focusing on the same old singles. Most these hosts never listened at the level most of us do. Its an easy spot.
