So was Tony Mandarich.

I still can't figure out what Green Bay was thinking with that pick tbh. You have 4 first ballot HOFers and they got the most roided out dude in college football (which is saying A LOT for the 80s). Of course that franchise has been pretty consistently good for 25+ years now...so there's that.

Sports Illustrated hyped him up. Most GMs at the time said his foot work was shyt and his game film showed flaws. Don't know why the Packers went left tackle when they had a half ass QB.

Why are y’all upping this. Baker Mayfield has been FAR from elite this season. He had a great game, cool. You’d think that’d be a mandatory from time to time from a number 1 overall pick :mjlol:
Does he need to be elite for this thread to be upped or just not a bust like this thread says he is?

:manny:

For the record: I could care less about Baker, but being a Browns QB is essentially an arts and crafts project of making and decorating your own casket. And he was probably all set to dig a 6ft hole and jump in too, until Swag kept mentioning he was a bust, over and over and over and over again; even calling himself a "genius" in the process, as if predicting that an undersized QB being drafted to Cleveland was going to bust was some grand prophecy that nobody else could've foreseen.

The Football Gods had to intervene and couldn't let Swag be right, and well, we're now at the point where he's Cleveland's best hope of being a franchise QB in the last decade. It's particularly hilarious that the Michael Jordan of Football aka Joshua Dobbs has been passed around from team to team like a two-dollar hoe, and this bust is out here actually staying above the surface on a team that's the graveyard of the NFL.

Son has played the bengals twice, the cowboys and the skins. Let’s relax. Looked like trash against good teams.

Let’s wait till the seasons over.

Short term success means nothing. Look at his rookie year. Or Mitch Trubisky going 12-4 in 2018 and making the Pro Bowl.

Tie yourself to this short unathletic cac at your own risk. He'll be 100% a bust when its all said and done. Like Trubisky.
Im not tied to him, hes having a good season playing off of the running game without his number 1 receiver.

Then why bump this thread? Any bum can have a decent season. See Trubisky in 2018.

Let this cac put more than a few good games together before havng a victory parade.
Only one of his three seasons have been bad. This is coming from the guy who begged the browns to draft Lamar Jackson:francis:
