I think you mean the defense led them to their first playoff win.

5 turnovers by Pittsburgh decided the game from the start. Mayfield was simply a game manager after the Steelers self destructed.

We'll see what he does next week against KC. You can't game manage your way to victory against Mahomes and that offense.

Baker is a game manager with noteworthy accuracy. That's his career so far. Nothing to be ashamed of.

The "game manager" shyt needs to stop, dude is just ultra efficient. Not every team is gonna throw 40 passes a game, and Baker takes plenty of shots downfield.

He's a game manager because he's not the reason his team wins. They won this year because of their outstanding o-line and run game. That forced defenses to put the focus there which is why Mayfield was able to be efficient with his passing opportunities.

Take away that elite o-line and run game, you think Mayfield can do what a guy like Josh Allen can do? Lead his team in rushing while throwing for 300+ yards?

Game managers rely on the talent around them. True star QBs lead the team to victory by putting the squad on their back. Mayfield is a game manager plain and simple.

They put up a bunch of points last night and some of those were on drives where Baker looked really good. He got them back to a 3 score lead on a drive where he needed to come through. He played really clean yesterday.

Some cats don't think you can put your team on your back without throwing 55 times or running for 100 yards:troll:

You mean the one where he threw a lil screen pass that Chubb took for 50 yards. :usure:

Nah. When a game gets outta hand that quickly, it forces the opponent to play more aggressive. This gives you as the offense a chance to carve them up at the right moments when they try to force the issue.

Steelers were desperate and took risks defensively. That allowed Baker opportunities to get easy one on one matchups down the field as well as catch them with well executed screens.

You replay that game without all the turnovers from Pittsburgh and we see something totally different.
