It is a dumb question though. Im sure hes doing the same thing as everyone else that doesnt work. Maybe he doesnt have the imagination to stop the crime in his community:respect:
People always think changing the leadership will automatically fix the problems, but they don’t want tough on crime ass people in there. Wtf can you do at this point? I understand what the mayor is trying to say but ain’t nobody trying to beat that right now. Offer words of encouragement or something instead of trying to get a viral moment.

The problem started in the 70s when Bethlehem Steel and other manufacturers in the area closed down.

A city mayor can't bring manufacturing back to the US and he can't keep criminals from getting guns. All he can do is flood the area with police and lock people up.
This is what happened in Detroit. You could leave one auto manufacturer, and get a job at the next one. All the cafes and lunch spots around the factories closed down too.

well the answer is simple divert the huge sums given to police budget and move some of that money to the most affected crime ridden neighbourhoods. rovide viable jobs for the 14-24 year old youth doing all the shootings plus some boots on the ground doing daily walk through patrols real community based policing and yeah you'll have less dead poor people. but tht would take some actual work and noone wants to do the right thing cause it's easier to put money in policing and guarantee that voting block. oh shyt i'm speaking with some intellect on this forum again - forgive the glitch in my programming.

fuka all that shyt, the mayor doing what he can, he was selected and as such will tow the line get fat and move to miami. :blessed:

Imo It's basically the problem in every big city. The factories in those cites closed down in the 70s and black men have been facing the highest unemployment ever since then.
