It's poverty. It's almost always poverty. Broke people do shyt like that. Too much free time, desperation, and nothing o lose.
This is true. But what actionable items are we getting here? What can be done at this moment because the people who cause poverty do not care about those who suffer from it. So it's up to those who suffer from it to do something. Help isn't coming from outside.

What can the impoverished do, that is legitimate AND effective?

Officials can implement and improve programs that help people, employ more people with livable wages, keep kids occupied instead of bored, but that takes money, compassion and work. Baltimore had summer jobs for youth which ended in the 90s or early 00s. It was SOMETHING. Now we have kids running up on people with squeegees, which is just thinly veiled panhandling. The schools (for the ones in school) spit them out at 3 and wash their hands with them. No programs, activities. A good hobby would save the life of many of these kids. I had arcade games and Magic The Gathering. Youth and adults are sitting around broke and bored, it's a powder keg.

Politicians are going to take this route more often then not because it’s convenient. Two things: 1. The streets are just going to come down and harmonize just because there is a black leader in the city. And B., this is straight out of the Maynard Jackson handbook. Look how he handled the Atlanta child murders. It’s all about maintaining control, assuaging fears while not actually solving shyt, and making your white liberal donors comfortable

Square biz. Reminds me of the old mayor of Savannah, who was the "first black woman mayor" for the city. Booooy I tell ya, she was obtuse and couldn't run a lego block city :camby: . Crime was all over the place, funds were mismanaged, and it was all about protecting River Street and the big money makers. She got shytcanned and in comes a republican cac that somehow manged to get the proper funds and police force to take on the crime :francis:

If black elected officials are not kissing the ring, going too hard on the black community, and focusing on the money makers, they are just going to be used as a face and not so much the body.

But yet, there are some white mayors that do not have a single damn clue of running a city, if you told them to wear New Balances and "Just Do It".

james-kenney-headshot.jpg

This cac ran the city of Philly into the fukking shytter. Dude was more focus on a soda tax, than addressing the matters at hand:

  • Overkill crime
  • Lack of resource
  • Kenzo looking like Satan's Harlem Renaissance
  • More focus on a big ass stadium in the most congested part of Philly, instead of improving the surrounding areas
I hate what this cocksucker did to my hometown and hope his smug ass get shytcanned into the afterthought of Wikipedia.

It’s a legitimate question, and nobody seems to have any real answers. We ask for black leadership, and we get it, and this still happens. Black residents are being terrorized, but because they’re being terrorized by other black residents, we’re supposed to not want a bigger police presence? So who is supposed to stop this? What businesses are going to want to set up shop if they know it’s going to be ransacked in months? What tourism are they going to have if people are afraid to come? And anytime we point this out, we get called c00ns and anti black.

I LOVE the fukkery. The more thugs, the better, this puts Black folks in a tight position to accept accountability.:blessed: A lot of black folks getting squirmish and I love it.:wow:

And I'll keep repeating myself this ain't systemic racism, this is culture.

How'd you get into those?
Been playing video games since I can remember living.
Saw people playing MTG right after starting college. Asked what it was, they showed me, the rest is history.
And why aren't those viable options for youth today? (MTG at least?)
Arcades no longer exist
Playing MTG at any serious level requires money. You used to be able to trade your way into a decent collection to play, but trading is mostly dead now that everyone has up to the second pricing info on their phone, and people's social skills have eroded to new depths.

They need to fix the educational and economic conditions of the people in the city.

Is it a coincidence that all the wealthiest cities and neighborhoods in the country have low levels of crime?

No. It’s not.

But everyone wants to keep acting like it’s a parenting thing or a society thing or a culture thing or whatever. And sure. To some degree that matters. I don’t deny that in some part.

But come on man. Follow the dollars. That always tells the story in America.

Have you ever taught a low income school? There's coli brehs on here who were teachers. They don't even want to learn, what use is sinking more money into education?

And it is culture, because not every black man committing crime. Dudes don't want to work

@ PA
1. Stop and Frisk( yall had yalls chance)

2.State Deportation Legislstion(commit a felony,or too many misdemeanors,get out of this city:camby:)

3. Put the parents of criminals on the news. The public shaming will cause parents to tighten up possibly.

4. If you get deported and still wanna act up? Enjoy the zoo within the zoo for a long time.

5. Instead of sending billions to Ukraine, send it to these cities. Create a text message system that allows for police to ask for tips immediately after a crime occurs. The award may be 100$ may randomly be $5,000 for a petty theft crime. Your homies wont be your homies. Might even put 6 figures on your head:respect:

6. Relocation initiatives-Help parents who have at risk youth locate to areas with less oppurtinity to do crime. We strategically move them, parents dont decide. This is better than deportation

7. Neighborhood watch funding. You can collect rewards as a group.

This actually pretty smart. Never heard this idea before. :russ:

How many cities and neighborhoods that are wealthy have high crime and low education rates?

And I'm asking this not just in America, but globally.

It's not a culture thing. It's not a race thing. It's a money thing.
You could look at England. A whole bunch of white people. A different culture from Americans. And I'd bet just about anything, that the cities and neighborhoods with the highest crime are all the poorest ones.

I guess those cacs just don't want to work. They just don't want to learn.

how do you force willfully ignornant people to change?

how are teachers supposed to teach when the students dont want to pay attention?
when the students dont study
when they constantly fight
shoot each other

change the economic conditions...
what does that mean?
give people with no skills jobs?

post like yours assumes there are no current options for people.
they have tons of options...
they just dont use them

yet you accused him "of trying to get a viral moment"
He gave them a clip that went viral. That’s all I’m saying. People in Baltimore have been killing him. If this press conference changes their minds that’s great. I’ve covered many protests and crime period where people think forcing people out and bringing in new people will make a difference. It’s much more to it than that. I wasn’t even mad at that man or anything because I’m sure he’s trying.
