He doesn't want to upset his white fans :mjlol:

He’s not trying to fukk up that white money that he has coming in after leaving office. Not to mention, he’s not going to rock the boat as Democrats still have use of his services.

I don’t know why posters that he’d become unfiltered all of a sudden after leaving office, which is just not the case.

"he could thread that needle"

:dead:
If you want more Mitch McConnell's in office, just say that and we'll be done with this thing.

Plus, fighting back doesn't mean you win ALL the time. It means you're in the fight. It does even mean that you'll ultimately win. The point is to be in the arena.

Black politicians have to get elected and most black politicians dont represent black-majority areas.

This is the difference between activism and political realism.

Obama is fighting the inside fight.

Fight your fight.

OP didn't even link the full fukkin twitter thread

Was this so hard?

Lemme screen cap it for you.

I'm not tolerating Obama slander.

Obama became president because he could thread that needle.

if you want your personal cheerleader, then you have to accept the fact that same person would not become POTUS. Period. No point even pretending otherwise.

He strikes the right tone to move the country together with his BLACK wife and BLACK family, when so many of his critics make the opposite decision and couldn't carry the burden he did to fix in 8 what the country has done in 400 years.

If you study reconstruction, you'd would know this was all inevitable in the face of even minor black progress.

Nothing he said was wrong, and this isn't his problem to fix. Its this country writ large and he is not at fault for any of it.

Mind you, this is what prominent conservatives twisted his own words for:

:gucci:

I agree with you in general. And I don't think his comments in that particular tweet warrant any harsh criticism.

But Sandy Hook DID HAPPEN on his watch and he didn't push hard enough to make real change in the wake of that. TWENTY SIX PEOPLE, including children.

You could blame the Democrats as a whole for not making that tragedy a galvanizing moment for gun control, but since he was the head of the party at that time, he shares some of that blame too.
I'm just saying that on some level, Democrats' ineptitude or ambivalence towards this problem allows it to continue.
