Not scamming. People's behavior during early to mid pandemic era showed barbers how valuable their services were.
Most of the country was home, govt. warned people about going to indoor business establishments, yet people risked health and safety to go to the barbershop.

Them nikkas was desperate as well. They wanted that dough just like we wanted haircuts. If they didn’t, a lot of them nikkas wouldn’t have circumventing ordinances against people being congregated in tight spaces and shyt. Mf’s was having folks come to their homes, cutting hair on balconies and porches. Prices could’ve remained the same but these nikkas wanted to gouge their customers. A market correction is needed.

My Wife cuts my hair when I’m home. When I’m at work, it’s $11 on base for a cut and you don’t have to tip.

My son has dreads up top and the sides cut low.

Took him for a line up/trim.

Paid the barber the line up/trim fee $25

My son was in his chair for less than 5 minutes.

shyt went so quick a was almost bothered by the fact i had to pay $25. I’m like damn that’s a fukkin hustle, that was the quickest $25 i’ve ever spent.

In the car on the way home i was kinda laughing to my son about it….in the middle of the convo my barber hits me like…

“yo meach…my bad bruh, but since i touched up the sides, i gotta charge you the full haircut fee”

nikka WHAT!!!! I had to pay this dude $45 for 5 minutes in the fukkin chair

Needless to say, i’ve been trimming my sons hair since then.

Lost a customer because he wanted to scam another $20 bucks out of you. I understand barbers have to make a living but shyt is getting out of hand. I love getting my haircut when I'm out the country and paying $10 with tip.
