:whoa::ufdup:
Look up what Lebron did his second season, one year out of high school. Then reflect on what you just wrote.

No reflection needed. You're not talking about what I'm talking about. I first stated that this MVP season for Bron was basically the numbers MJ put up his rookie year...ol' boy said I emphasized scoring too much and I hit him with the stat line involving more than scoring for this MVP season for Bron and MJ rookie season. Lebron second season has nothing to do with anything you bolded in my statement...so.....basically ...running in from the sideline with your cape on for the wrong dame. Let me work and find somebody else to save.

Eh, you could say the same thing about the last 10-15 years. The Lakers w/Shaq and Kobe didn't beat any great teams, neither has Duncan's Spurs. This past finals was probably the first time two great teams made the Finals since Seattle and Chicago, maybe Detroit (Chauncey)/LA.

I think the NBA has been at its best the past three or four years honestly. But there was nothing stand out about the 90's other than more people watching and MJ being the best player on the planet.

Best in terms of what exactly?

the past 4 NBA champs
Heat
Mavs
Lakers
Lakers

there's honestly nothing special about these teams, the lakers were expected to win and they won, Dallas got hot at the right time, and miami scraped by an aging boston team.

How could you have watched the 90's and your only comment is "people watching MJ be the best player on the planet?"

You mean to tell me you didn't enjoy watching these guys play?

Dream
Malone
Barkley
Robinson
Clyde
Ewing
Pippen
Young Shaq
Pre injury penny
Pre injury Hill
Young Larry Johnson
ZO
DC
Kevin Johnson
etc...
etc....

Dog.....I don't care what people enjoyed.

I see nothing special about the teams the Bulls played in the finals outside of the Jazz.

I can run a list of names featuring todays who will be future hall of famers. The fukk does how many people watching them prove?

I love seeing

Young Kyrie
CP3
Deron Williams
Carmelo Anthony
Dwyane Wade
Lebron James

etc...etc.

Many of these players will be HOFamers. But to say the Sonics were special....the Suns were special. Man please....they're no different than the Celtics teams we've seen the past couple of years.

I don't see it. The JAZZ were the greatest Non-Bulls team assembled in the 90s. Think about that.

I think dude has a point. Lebron was 19 going on 20 in his second second and put up similar numbers and never went to college and put up legendary numbers in his second season. Just give Lebron some credit.

And the jazz were terrible defensively . Stockton was done as High impact player and outside of Hornacek/Malone that team was below average. The only reason they got to the finals was the teams that used to son them(or were flat out better)during the rest of the 90's flat out fell off.

Rockets
Sonics
Suns
Spurs

Lakers were young and hadnt developed yet

They were the only ones left

I see nothing special about these past few champions either, i'm just trying to understand what you find special about this era.

The spurs best team they faced in the finals were the 05 pistons, their nothing special. For the lakers it was the 2010 celtics, and like you said they weren't special either.

The Jazz were a team that featured 2 HOF's, a good supporting cast, good head coach and they were a cohesive team with many years of experience at their whim.

And those same Jazz teams were considered middle of the pack good the years prior to the 90's. So understand that there was a definite dip in play which allowed them to do in the 90's what they couldn't do in the 80's.

The lakers were BY FAR better than every team in the west back then. I think it's unfair to say they rose because of a "dip in play" when it was more of the competition evening out after the juggernaut lakers were dismantled.

I never discredited Bron. The first post I made in this thread stated Barkley and Pip as former players can spot potential better than any of us and this season was a great start for Bron to start entering the "better than" convo. I personally think he needs to do more because the season we're hailing is essentially MJ rookie season. I said nothing wrong. People just wanna argue for argument sakes.

Dog....the Lakers weren't BY FAR the best team back then. You still had the Celtics, Sixers, Pistons and a few squads that were in their league.

I was with you until this. Houston w/Clyde, Phoenix, Seattle even Orlando were all better than those Jazz Finals teams.
