Oh stop. The best QB Barry played with was Scott Mitchell...Scott Freaking Mitchell.

He also played with Erik Kramer, Dave Krieg, Bob Gaggliano, Eric Hipple, and Rodney Peete...Hardly "Good" quarterbacks. Other than Lomas Brown, Barry was not surrounded by a great offensive line. You acting like he had the same luxury as Emmitt Smith... Most of Barry's runs came from breakdowns at the front.

Y'all just making shyt up now. Barry Sanders played with wide receiver Herman Moore, lineman Lomas Brown, lineman Kevin Glover and wide receiver Brett Perriman. Moore, Glover and Brown were all fugging pro bowlers. Perriman and Moore each caught 100 passes each in 1988.

This how little research y'all dudes do. You mentioned Erik Kramer as "hardly" being good? Well guess what? In 1995 Erik Kramer set the all time single season passing record for the Bears, when he threw for 3,800 yards and 29 touchdowns. That gives you an idea of the talent around Barry Sanders and the garbage offensive players who surrounded Payton during his entire career from 1975 through 1987. Yet despite playing with shytty lines, quarterbacks and receivers, Payton set the single game NFL rushing record with 275 yards and the career rushing record.

Best running back I've ever seen and it's not even particularly close and I'm a Niners fan.

Breh you literally cut off the majority of my comment. I said he played with Herman Moore and Brett Perriman. I also said he played with Lomas Brown and Kevin Glover. Were you so pressed to uncork this that you omitted more than half my comment? You mentioned Erik Kramer setting the all time season passing record for the BEARS...Well guess what? He never performed anywhere near that level for the LIONS. How disingenuous can you be? He can have all the talent in the damn world but if his best season was 1600 yards and 11 td's IN 1991 for the lions your entire premise goes out the window. Ironically the same year Barry carried the offense with 1500+ yards and 16 tds...Herman that same year had a steamy hot 135 yards receiving. Just lol.

So as good as the lions O-Line was why is it that in Barry's 10 seasons the lions were in the top 10 in sacks allowed in 7 of those ?So much for having an amazing O-line.

275 yards good for him... Adrian Peterson broke that single game mark, Barry has a 2k yard season(something walter never did), and would have absolutely buried that record if he played the same amount of seasons walter did.

Carry for carry... This is if Barry had the same exact amount of carries

Walter: 3838 16,726

Barry: 3838 19,190

Boom...

True story, I walked by Barry Sanders at Whole Foods out in West Bloomfield. Me and my old lady walked in front of him while he was looking at seasonings I think, and said sorry, excuse me. He said no problem excuse me, really polite guy.

I did'nt even recognize him until I got to the end of the isle. Then I turned around and was like :ohhh:

Whatever player. Now we are both in agreement that Barry Sanders played with a lot more talent around him than Paton did. Don't think for one second that I am letting you off the hook with that Scott Mitchell garbage either, because he set Detroit's single season passing record in 1995 with over 4,300 passing yards and 32 touchdowns, which didn't broken until years later by Stafford.

Btw Payton had 1,852 yards in 1977 in only 14 games. Sanders 2,000 yards came in 16 games. It is time you lying ass Lion fans to stop lying and put some speck on Payton's name.

You still running with this flash in the pan, 1 standout season nonsense? You did it with Kramer, and now with Mitchell. What did Scott Mitchell do before and after the lions? Exactly JACK FUK ALL. So stop acting like Barry was playing with anything more than Journeyman QB's, because that's exactly what they were/are. The entire team benefited from Barry's presence on the field...

No one in here was disrespecting Walter...You're the one who came in here disrespecting Barry.

It shows that he had a great season. So Sanders wasn't the marked man that you Lions fans claim that he was. Payton was literally a marked man every season that he was in the league and he didn't have any help. Put some speck on Sweetness name and stop whining about who Emmitt Smith played with and realize that Barry Sanders played with multiple all pros too.

If you're an adult, please stop giving 2 hours of your life away daily to fake sports debate shows that are scripted, rehearsed, and highly disingenuous.

Use that time to hit the gym, work on a skill, or enjoy a real hobby.

I look back at all the hours wasted with so much regret.
