ed played at the top of the formation, it was rare Troy played the back half, he was the literal hybrid lb/db
Yeah Troy was more of a box safety and Ed was free.

The way he would read the QB though :wow:

Watching him on film with the All 22 is ridiculous

During the 100 all time player countdown on NFL Network they broke down this pick he had on Peyton and it was amazing how he fooled him

i remember on an interview Ed said he lined up a certain way that was wrong to the formation for a few weeks so when he played Peyton he would read it one way, and Ed would react totally different, I’m like damn who thinks like that

:beli:: "Best play I have ever seen a free safety make"

:blessed: Who else getting BB to gush like that :dame: @BucciMane

Troy Polamalu is very deserving of going to the Hall of Fame, but to mention Troy Polamalu in the same breath as Ed Reed? To me, it’s disrespectful,” Scott said.

In an attempt to explain why he feels it’s disrespectful, Scott talked in circles.

Troy was that dude period, but what say you Coli, are they comparable, is one better ??

Talked in circles? Do you watch or know football in any way? He literally explained in exact details.why he felt that, at a schematic and personnel level. :gucci:

What the fukk :dwillhuh:

that’s what the article said, i didn’t say that, he did, and even if i did say that tf can that correlate to i don’t watch football or know it man, you lambeau leaping into a conclusion, he talked down on Troy saying he gambled and had help, so if he fukked up then Clark would help him, but that’s knocking his instincts and ability

To put it in better perspective here is his d coord speaking on Troy

Yeah, I guided him, alright. I stayed the hell out of his way,” LeBeau said with a laugh when asked about grooming Polamalu. “…Troy had the ability to go from point A to point B probably as quickly as any man I’ve ever seen… he confused offenses. He had great anticipation. I think he’s the best safety that’s ever played, that’s my opinion. Of course, it is biased.”
