This reminds me of Last Winter, I feel like this sound fits Bas better than the darker sound he had on the last album.
Edit - just listening to the intro now

That Sango beat![]()
Tribe doesnt sound like Latin trap at all to me. Way more soulful imo. And I live in the BX I hear Latin trap literally all day. Lol.See my signature. We been on the Sango wave for years.
Shyt fire. I told yall 2 months ago Latin Trap music was La Ola....
Cardio B Just Influenced Me....I'm on Latin Trap Wave...:wow:
I like subdued trap beats like this. Just an element, not always taking over the track.

This song and "I Like It" are in 2 completely different realms based on that fact that Cardi's "I Like It" actually samples a famous Latin song. And has 2 Latin rappers on it. This Bas and Cole song sounds more island influenced than flat out Latin. Just cause theres a guitar dont make it "Latin". And I wouldnt identify it as "trap" either. Actually when I first heard it it sounds more RnB influenced than anything else. Latin didnt even cross my mind. I instantly thought RnB. If this is Latin than The Pharcyde's "Runnin" is Latin.Check out My thread on what I consider Fusion Latin Trap in the post you responded to......Traditional Latin music over Trap beat.
I know You are referring to Spanish speaking rappers, rapping over typical trap beat that you would hear in Atlanta. I'm talking about actual Latin music over trap beats, regardless if the rapper is speaking Spanglish or not. I'm not sure the right word or phrase to differentiate. Like I think Cardi B's "I Like It" song could be both what you call Latin Trap and what I call Fusion Latin Trap (only phrase I can come up with for my definition).
I hear Latin music over a trap beat @0:45 in "Tribe" and it repeats.
Maybe a better phrase is "Latin inspired Trap"..it's LiT![]()
Yeah I didn't get any Latin vibes at all from this. Feels like some tribe called quest shyt. That might be the reason it was titled tribe. Actually "running" is a good comparison too. Definitely feels like some pharcyde shyt. Real soulful. When I first heard the beat I thought the sample could've came from some Japanese anime type shyt or something. This song and "I Like It" are in 2 completely different realms based on that fact that Cardi's "I Like It" actually samples a famous Latin song. But fukk it. Whether it's Latin or not, the shyt put me in a good ass mentality. The type of shyt you smoke and lounge to. Put on repeat all day and just enjoy the positive vibes. It don't matter where it came from. Music is the universal language.
