That's the problem. Either you're not paying attention or you refuse to look. Even with the number of black baseball players not even being that high, the few that are there are the ones winning MVP's, Cy Young's, going to all-star games, and singing crazy rich contracts.
that was my point.. you don't have to do that with basketball and football.. if i never watched sports, by now i'd still know lebron, kobe, and 50 other bball players...
even with wearing helmets... if i never watched sports i'd still know rg3, ray lewis, and a rack of others
now i don't watch baseball but i watch sports heavy... not including the 5 sports apps on my phone.. i also check espn and si daily.. plus watch hours of sports shows..... and i still couldn't name 5 black ball players
so i'm saying, what you think a little kid is seeing.. probably nada.. so why would he be enticed to follow that shyt
another thing is lets say he loved baseball.. he can't tell his mom to go buy a 10 dollar ball and hit the court. he's gonna need equipment and 10-15 other kids with equipment. you can't "shoot around" in baseball by yourself. you can't run "3 on 3 with an all-time qb" like you can in football.
all together its harder for a young black kid to get into and play baseball before high school and most of the times, before college
