You keep saying that but he was put in that situation. Saying he shouldn't have been in that situation doesn't change the facts of what happened breh. That's a separate agruement in itself

But isnt it the only argument that matters? The trade was awful for what New Orleans needed to do. The Lakers caught him slipping but I don't see why that matters.

The clippers trade was worse. That's the point. You are saying it was for the benifit of NO when that's not the case. It was for the owners of the others teams. If not they would've rejected the clippers trade which was even more garbage than the lakers trade.

Avery Bradley & James young are recent top 10 picks? Not Marcus Smart & Jaylen Brown? News to me! At the time, Eric Gordon was 23 and Al Aminu was 21 and both were recent top 10 draft picks. Minnesota pick was an additional lottery pick providing extra ping pong balls.

Given the hornets best player was David West (around age 30), how the hell would a 31 year old Scola (same position) and a 29 year old Martin constitute a better deal? Especially without an additional lottery pick?
Being a top 10 pick doesn't mean anything if you aren't good. You think the lakers would trade Clarkson for Bennett just because Bennett was the number 1 overall pick? No cause he's trash. James young was a lottery pick but doesn't even have the trade value of a second rounder already cause he sucks. The lakers trade had legitimate better players. And you conveniently left out Dragic who at the time was considered one of the best young Pg options in the game. Let's be real the trade was about not letting the lakers get CP3. Plan and simple. The owners weren't having that. It was not about making the hornets better or getting a better deal.

Wasn't this chit like 4 or 5 years ago?
You just gonna have to let that chit go.
I just want nikkas to be real and admit that shyt wasn't vetoed to help the hornets but it was vetoed cause the owners were pissed. That's all I want. What's done is done but I get annoyed when nikkas try to act like Dan Gilbert and his open letter didn't effect that veto

It was the Lakers fault for trying to sneak a trade past a league owned team.

The Minny pick they got from the Clippers was projected to be a #1 overall pick at the time. Eric Gordon was one of the best young players in the league. In hindsight, Rivers wasn't a great pick and Gordon got hurt. But if we are going to use hindsight, they ended up with Anthony Davis because of that deal.

The proposed Lakers trade just dumped big contracts on the Hornets.
