My friend who worked at a bank downtown told me once that they get suspicious of people who take out more than a certain ammount. They're supposed to check and make sure it's the right person. I'm not sure how difficult it is to check or how long it takes to check, but I don't think they even checked before they called the police if the police were there as he was leaving the bank. I hope he sues them.

Unless you're a finance person, or have an account for frequently wiring large amounts of money, banks will get suspicious, and oftentimes freeze your account.
When I did my shytty bank internship, there would be at least one angry guy a month who would come in pissed about not being able to move 20k offshore, or wire some ungodly amount to his mother.
The arresting part was definitely due to him being Black, but the suspicion was not. Taking out 200k cash is stupid in all situations, if he wanted to buy a car, he could have done that without waving around 1/5 of his net worth.
