Was raised by a single mom who had a negative view of men and sexuality. I used to have a bunch of chump views when it came to women:
- Women like the smart, well-educated guy
- Women like the nice, well-intentioned guy
- Your appearance doesn't matter that much, it's all about the inside
- No no, women aren't like that!
- No no, women don't do things like that!
- Men who treat women a certain way are a$$holes
- You have to take women on dates, movies, and food excursions
- You have to be entertaining guy, Mr. funny man
- You have to be Mr. Classy
- Women don't just give it up like that, they are ladies.
As I posted in another thread, most of this is a farce. The real rules:
1. Don't get washed (be in good shape, have a sense of style)
2. Don't be lame (be socially aware and able to hold a conversation)
...and #2 is negated if #1 is strong enough because girls will throw some p*ssy your way if you're cute enough.
At what age did you guys realize the jig, and what were some of the stupid beliefs you previously held?
